Wow ! That is a hidden gem, Nicola. I might see if I can squeeze in a walk round the course when I am up that way running at Cinder Track in Whitby in July. Captain Cook’s birthplace museum in Stewart Park, Middlesbrough & a lemon top are already on the agenda ! I ran past a Gruffalo at Alice Holt parkrun in Hampshire which is a stunning forestry commission site however they have changed the course now so you won’t pass it if you run on the less hilly Northern route.

It's a nice course, did it a couple of times in the summer. I remember chatting very briefly to the lady from Hull you mentioned as she noticed my Beverley 10K shirt, really nice volunteers there

Very interesting Route and many Runners at a Parkrun. Was it a 5K Distance? And a Beautiful Landscape

They are all 5km apart from junior parkruns for children on a Sunday, which are 2km.

As Bob says, parkrun is always 5km at every parkrun across the globe. Always a Saturday morning but the time can vary depending on the country 🙃 Anywhere from 6:30am - 11am 😊
