Amazing trio. I,m 77 now but was an average bass player mid 60's in a covers group Croydon area. Our drummer and I heard their first LP "Live at the Pickwick club and were blown away. So we then drove up to Luton, Ceasars Palace saw them live and thought fantastic the most tightly knitted trio of the era. Tab the bass player influenced me in his style as from then on I gave up playing with a plectrum and learned to use my fingers. Good memories.

Never saw another bass player play an electric like that. In every U.S. band I’ve been in, I got laughs mimicking it. They really were a top trio.

It puts the bass in the position of an upright bass, which - although I've never seen anyone else do it - does make sense. He doesn't half fly around that neck, doesn't he!

Whoever directed the editing on this really added to the excitement of what this band was doing. I particularly love the cut to the drummers foot on the pedal... That’s at the point where they’re really getting ‘down’ to it in the song and makes perfect sense... I can’t ever remember a video where there was such a fine focus on the fingers or feet of musicians, which are essentially musical instruments as well... To see that action is just fabulous! This is better than the vast majority of music videos I’ve ever seen... would imagine it was directed in real time as they were playing... True Art!
