I keep hearing people say things about him taking Vic's money like he's that petty, or that he wanted it to look like Vic was robbed, I think people forget that Penguin came from nothing and he appreciates money more than anyone else for that reason, all because he's rich doesn't mean he's going to let 50 or 100 bucks go to waste, at least that's my take on that scene.

When Francis asks Rex to "help her with a thing like that" they're clearly talking about killing him. She took him to the club to hand him over to Rex to "make him go away." She changed her mind while Oz was promising to get her everything she ever wanted. She started to believe him at that point. She never stopped hating him but she used him to get her better life. The irony (and tragedy) of it all is that by the end of the series, he'd given it to her...but she couldn't tell.

The Penguin is my favorite show this year. This is how you do a story about a villain. Way better than Joker: Folie a Deux and I dare say, better than Joker 2019. I applaud the showrunner, Lauren LeFranc, for making The Penguin a straight up villain and not a anti-hero. I knew Vic is a goner since episode one, but I was shocked how he went out. The Penguin is a monster. I can't wait to see Batman beat the shit out of Oz, Arkham video game style.

I always kept reminding myself that Penguin is a villain in The Batman universe for a reason, which means he's just as f'd up as Riddler, Joker, and Two Face. Now it's become a live action Arkham Game 🤌🤌🔥🔥

As soon as Oz told Vic to take the rest of the booze, I knew it was to make him feel good one last time and knew what was about to happen. I was rooting for him to become the crime lord but now we can root for Batman to kick his ass...

I don't think Francis revealing to Oz she always knew was meant to be a big moment of shock. That wasn't the driving force of that scene. Everything was meant to highlight how strongly Oz was willing to hold on to a lie even though everyone (including the audience) knew exactly what he did. Even when it came down to his mom's well being, he was willing to keep pushing the delusion/fantasy he's built for himself. It was meant for that audience to truly see how messed up that man is lol

@mangafurie7698 exactly. The last two episodes were there to truly drive home how despicable this dude was and how mentally unwell he is overall. Even his more relatable emotions like the desire to have his mom proud of him were marred by his selfishness and deplorable choices. (Along with his love for her crossing into creepy levels lol)

The ending was amazing!!! Remember the promise he made to his mother, that he’d end her life if she ever became a vegetable. He never did, he’s to obsessed with his own desires of hearing her say that she’s proud of him and that she always knew he was capable of great things that he can’t even keep his own promise to her and would rather let her live in her miserable state than do what she wants. That is really really dark. Vic saying he was like family is what sealed his fate. Imagine if Vic just referred to him as a good boss he most likely would’ve lived

Amazing show. Fav moments of the show for me are selinas letter with her music along with the bat signal. Cant wait for a catwoman show or a two face court drama type show after he gets introduced in part II, the show could have some law and order/ better call saul vibe. Id love either of these to happen honestly, i dont want a penguin s2, i want either of these way more.
