i don't think Victor is actually dead i think someone will find him just in time because he has same name and backstory with parents dying in a Gotham City flood as one of the comic book villains. Plus you can still be resuscitated from being strangled but how quick is key the longer it takes more brain damage you get so maybe he will come back a phyco without the stammer and go after Oz.

The penguin finale really elevated the stakes in the batman part 2 due to the hatred of penguin and him entering in politics which might also introduce Harvey Dent as DA to fight him which leads to two face .

@@alesksander agreed, sometimes people get a little caught up in reality and forget at the end of the day this is gotham lol.. WILD shit happens. There's also a lot of details people always miss in these shows, people complained about sals heart attack but almost none of them remember that while he was in jail they showed him on screen take pills in a few scenes and he never did once he left jail again.. meaning he probably had a heart condition and once he left prison he couldn't get his meds.

I love how all reactors say “I knew it” during Oz and Vic’s scene…it was a jarring scene that ultimately made sense in the story. Kudos to the showrunners. Also the slow start makes more sense and is re-contextualized with big reveals that came later (eg, Francis knowing, Sofia not being the Hangman, etc.) It’s cool to see it on rewatch.

I saw this on the post episode discussion on Reddit when it first aired. The poster said it took him out that Sal would use such “modern” slang. The thing is, that has been a saying for decades. I remember my grandma saying it when I was a little kid. Sometimes she’d saw “you’re cooked” other times she’d say “your goose is cooked”. Despite the recent resurgence of the phrase by younger people nowadays, it isn’t exactly new.

Fractured reality is a good way to put it. I dont think he intended to kill his brothers or that he really wanted to. He did want his moms attention to himself and when he goes back and he get what he wants he feels satisfied with himself. He dissociates himself from the death of his brothers instead of feeling guilt. Which is why he gets mad even them being brought up, he doesnt want to face it. And its the same thing with his mom, he just wants he approval and attention, he cant face that she actually hates him and would rather have his own reality. He is completely about himself and hes so good at bullshitting because he believes the bullshit hes saying when hes saying it.

Oswald's mother had expressed the wish to die if she became a vegetable. Oswald swore by it, and it shows once again that Oswald loves no one more than himself, and he let her live. Sophia has stolen the show. I haven't seen such a well-written female character for a long time. A woman who can fully play to the strengths of what women have and so remains believable and also to write so strongly that men did not have to be portrayed weak and idiotic to make her seem stronger. That's how you do it and not this woke shit.

The Batman takes place on year 2 halloween of batman, this series just right after that movie till snow falling , so end of year 2... Year 2 batman makes sense not showing up that much after that movie ending, also the mob drama batman not needed at all..they did an amazing job making this show..

It's really sad to think that Martin Scorsese probably will never watch this show. I believe it is as good if not better than anything he's done. And it's just the kind of thing I think he'd like. But since it's a comic book adaptation he'll most likely have some kind of biased opinion based on stigma.

Penguin is a good series. I didn't think it was as phenomenal as most people thought. Oz's arc to become the Penguin was spectacular. He is evil. And an unjustified evil. Unlike what they did with Sofia. She is the reason the series lost the strength it could have, IMO. Sofia in the comics is evil. She is the one who kills her brother, and she kills anyone because she is a psychopath by nature. She is even married to a guy named Rocco GIGANTE. Yes, the name GIGANTE came from her husband and not her mother. Here in the series, besides Sofia not being married, her evil was justified. She became evil because of the pAtriArChy... and she doesn't kill women in the series, but she goes around killing men as if it were open season on men. Just for a change, another feminist agenda to ruin a production that could be amazing. Unfortunately. I really wanted to have liked this series more.
