Reeves' Gotham is 'grounded' in many ways, but it also doesn't shy away from colorful, comic book-inspired drama. It may not be 'realistic' for Sofia to dump a bunch of cash on a blood pile, but the imagery was so unforgettably stark and told us a lot about everyone in the room.

It's a city that looks real but also looks other worldly in a strange way. After Batman Begins, Nolans gotham just looked like a copy of Chicago. The Batman and The penguin definetly did it way better than the Nolan films.

Sophia made a huge mistake. She forgot to make good with the Triads. Oz is going to blame Sophia for the Bliss deal falling through and bring them in on his side. She forgot Oz was the Falcone drops guy, he knows everyone. He said he put everything in motion. He wants a war that's been the plan the whole time. He's got heat on him but he expected that. That's why he got Vic. He made this plan when he killed Alberto. The night he caught Vic.

He doesn't even need to blame Sophia, he has the mushrooms, he used to run the Drops manufacturing. Fight with Oz and they can split ALL the drug trade.

Prediction; Sofia and Salvatore team up, creating a uniformed large crew, Oz takes them down by the end of the show, and the still large leftovers of that crew become his gang. Julian goes into revenge mode and either becomes Scarecrow, or reforms Bliss into the fear toxin with Jonathan Crane.

I’m continually surprised and delighted at the direction the show is going in. With big name shows failing left and right (I’m looking at you Halo/Witcher) it’s a reality check to the rest of the industry. There were quite a few Easter eggs in this episode. For one, the tunnel system that the penguin finds, is the same tunnel system that Bruce uses to travel through Gotham. Twp, the police chief that talked to Sofia is the same police chief that we saw in the movie that the Batman himself accused of being corrupt, and we just found out for sure that he is.

I don't want Batman to show up so early. The gang war stuff is still on a petty, relatively localized level with the main players pretty weak/small in comparison to the larger issues Gotham and Batman are likely confronted with.

This episode was straight gold. Great writing and good character motivations. This is what makes Gotham the real villain. The system is the whole thing. It allows people to struggle and warp them. It's the warping we love. Batman is also warped by the city. It's a very deep dive into the character. I love this series.

I hope the people who love Sofia and Salvatore understand, that in the end the penguin is going to win and he’s going to win big. Ultimately, this show is about his rise to prominence in the criminal underworld of Gotham, they just happen to be very interesting characters that lead up to it.

The writers really play with your feelings in this show , like how you feel that Oz is a horrible human being when he lynches a mother and her son and then later in the episode he talks about his brothers and how they died and suddenly you feel sorry for the guy and actually want him to be the hero of the show.

The character development for the "Julian" guy (the psychiatrist who will likely turnout to be The Calendar Man or whatever) has been pretty poor. His loyalty to Sofia (probably Poison Ivy), doesn't make any sense. On a less related note, like others, I think Vic might end up being Victor Zsasz, the serial killer.

The entire The Batman movie was about screen, social media, tik tok, and super villains sending shit through the internet. It is the only bad thing about the movie and this particular universe. I still think DC's movies should fully build a Batman's universe and ditch the JL. It is never going to work.

I don't like Sofia after this episode, mainly because of the bad writing. She needs the respect from the men so they will work for her She then gets her uncle to bring everyone there. She Kills him infront of his men and confesses to her crimes They just stand there like "wow, isn't she so cool" Where's the respect he was talking about? She killed all of your bosses, and you just stand there like "20 dollars is 20 dollars". Where is the respect? I much would prefer is she out for blood than just trying to restart a mob family. And I don't know she kills that girls mom? She just became the monster that she hated, but it plays it off as slightly heroic that she saved the little girl

Very good episode but the show is starting to build some plot holes which is annoying. Like there’s 2 assassination attempts in this episode and they both just fail because it’s convenient to the plot Also, Sofia keeping Viti alive even for a day doesn’t make any sense, why wasn’t he held at gunpoint or something? Couldn’t he have escaped or found a weapon? Also, I like that Penguin gets his comic accurate lair, but the way it’s introduced is so weird. He just happens to remember he has a location that’s extremely close by convenient to what he’s trying to do with the mushrooms Still a great episode, but I hope it’s the weakest of the season
