Did first 10 k Tempo run in them. I have wide feet and they feel perfect. First Hoka that fits me TTS. They feel very bouncy but they actually reminded me of the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro V1. Same ride.. Heavier.. More stable.. Like a training partner for the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro V1. Fist I thought its like Alphafly but the longer I run it felt like a chubby brother of the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro V1. Definitely not a racing shoe for me. By the way.. I ❤ the laces 🎉.

I'm a slow 62 year old ironman. My last couple of marathons have been done in the Rocket X2 (previous to that the Rocket). I've had the Cielo for a week now and just done a couple of 5k runs at ironman/marathon effort. First as you found, the Cielo's are easier to get on. For me significantly, they are more roomy, have larger volume for the same length. Also the gusset/sidewall just doesn't seem as 'sticky', I'm talking as much as a 30 second saving in T1. Next, they are noticeably more supportive/stable when running. The downside to this is that they are considerably heavier than the Rocket X2's. I think for Barcelona, where a lot of the course is slightly uneven hardpack that will help. If we're talking a good surface tarmac then I think I'll stick with the Rocket's.
