Sounds like you had some productive flow going on that day! I've joined the FF project on your recommendation, but haven't started. I purchased my cheap camera but have yet to buy the film. Just kinda lurking in the group and liking other people's projects right now 😅

Happy to hear that you had a great day! I'm old school. I make prints all the time. It's nice to have them on the wall or in an album to flip through. Sometimes I print them on my Epson photo printer and other times I make contact prints with stuff like my 4x5 negatives or I make digital negatives in larger sizes and make cyanotypes.

Awesome - I don’t have an enlarger or darkroom, so I just need to get more use out of my inkjet printer.

@@theoldcameraguy I have half a dark room at the moment. Basically have everything but an enlarger so I do the bulb trick for my contacts. Someday the enlarger will come. 🤣

Thanks for the story :) I just shot 2 rolls of 35mm bw film and my goal was to get back that mindset of going for a photowalk and finding interesting subjects as I haven't prioritized photowalks mainly because studies and other more important things that is currently going in my life! if some frames turn out great that is a win but the main goal was to just get out and take some pictures!

Nice work. It seems everywhere in Ohio you photograph most places you show are abandoned. Any reason for that? I live in a small state and not even close to the abandoned places you feature in your videos. I always get prints made as well as scans at the lab I drop my film off at. I know alot of instagrammers and youtubers just get scans because they only display their work online and not in in person art shows.

I like to get to places early, before they open. The “Dairy Isle” is still in business, but didn’t open until later that day, for example. I do tend to gravitate towards abandoned places though.

@@theoldcameraguy Yes. I know other photographers that love to photograph abandoned places from the inside. My main question though is why so many and why aren't they reinvesting in them. Make them into housing, schools, Rec centers, movie theatres, art galleries etc...Instead of letting them rot away.

How do you like the Yongnuo 50mm? I have thought about trying out their 35mm f2 cheap as a faster AF wide.

I like it, however, it doesn’t work on all my Canon EOS bodies. It works well on the newer ones, but not on the older ones.
