I'm 50 yrs old. Getting back into riding, been doing it since age 6! But I was out for nearly 10 years (from 39-49). I did TONS of research trying to figure out which bike to buy as I was getting back into moto riding (I do hare scrambles now as well). Finally settled on this bike and have ZERO regrets. I'm also a powerlifter so at 5'8" I weigh 220lbs and went to a 5.1N spring. BTW, I like tall bars too as I have a tall torso and when sitting like on a bench or in a car I'm as tall and friends who are 5'11" (blessed with short legs! LOL). I just put the Renthal FatBar Windham 603 bend on my bike (had a Pro Taper Henry -Reed which was 92mm high) which is 98mm in height. Don't cave in to your friends, ride what YOU feel comfortable with. I don't like bars that feel like they are on my thighs! What are you running and how tall are they? Many pros run between 90 -95mm (the McGrath and RC bends are pretty low (high 70's low 80's in height). I watch the vids that tell you all about the bikes on Vital MX and Motorcross Action Magazine.

Thanks for the comment I enjoyed hearing part of your story! I’m lucky enough to have a sponsorship with phoenix handlebars and they run about 90mm. You have a good bike man! I got the chance to ride a husky 350 this past weekend and was blown away once again!

@@brandongambrell Thanks for the reply and CONGRATULATIONS on the sponsor!!! Now....your friends are saying that your bars, with a height of 90mm, are tall? If so, they need to watch those vids (Vital MX or Motocross Action Magazine) where the rider's mechanic goes over all the details of the bike. They give bar bend info every time. Haiden Deegan has a 10mm RISER! So even if his bar bend is low, he's still sitting close to 100mm total. I would say the average is between 88mm and 95mm,. Actually there aren't many bar bends (with Pro Taper or Renthal that are near 80mm. AND! (LOL) My bar bend is very popular (renthal Windam 603 Fatbar) and it's 98mm in height! Don't listen to your friends, ride what is most comfortable to you. Deegan is 5'9" at best and runs close to 100mm in total height. His mechanic said the 10mm riser was to keep him up because he tends to crouch too low. Now.....go buy a 350!!! LMAO

Search for 250 vs 350 vs 450 comparisons, there’s a few, laptimes of the 350 are better, even with experienced 450 riders. The 350 is an insane fast and controllable bike. And you can make fire breathing dragons out of them if needed. Still remember motocross of nations in 2012 in Lommel, one of the most brutal sandtracks in the world. Tony Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings whooped everyone there on 350’s… rest all on 450 factory bikes. Enough power in them, the rest is up to the guy on top.
