I've been there twice and that's enough to "miss" it. It's just the bomb. We just don't have that slice culture in London! There are places that do good pizza but they all cost you have the buy the whole thing. There are some by the slice places but they're all way overpriced and underwhelming.

I moved down south so I had to learn how to make pizza, and bagels, because I can’t find anything decent here. I did a fantastic job, but couldn’t find a white pie recipe that seemed right to me. This recipe was amazing. I never heard of lining the pie with sesame seeds, but tried that and it made the pie over the top. Thanks for sharing!

Do it! A few other suggestions around NYC as someone who has eaten a TON of pizza here. (1) tomatillo pie at pizzamoto, smoked trout Caesar salad as a starter (2) Any of the lunch specials with a salad at Motorino. Amazing pizza + amazing greens is so good (3) mushroom pie with spicy sauce at Sal's Pizza Store on Court st. and for a surprise bonus, (3) the Boston style bar pie at Star Tavern in Orange, NJ.

NestaOG at least in Czech Republic pizza bianca us not a good option. they definitely don't use ricotta but heavy cream and low quality soft cheese. This is simple and gorgeous.

I get over to the neighborhood in Williamsburg by Best pretty often so I tried it. It was decent, though I just don't like ricotta, so sadly, the white pie is not for me. It was a bit expensive but for hand-crafted with high quality ingredients, about what you'd expect. He's not kidding about the block. It's the one they have Williamsburg's Feast of San Gennaro. If you want a good dollar slice go to a Two Brothers (several in Manhattan) where they turn the pizzas over fast so you'll be getting a really fresh slice. $3 gets you two slices and a can of soda.

i work at mod pizza very similar thin style artesian style crust with a brick style oven and we charge 7.47 for a 12" pie and you can put whatever you want on it.. just sayin.
