We hunted all night and managed to put 22 feral hogs in the truck. Thanks to Andrew and Philip for making this hunt possible. Check out their socials below.
Andrew - / thermaloutdoors
Philip - / infected__outdoors
Philip KZbin - / @infectedoutdoors
These feral hogs were taken in Texas, where they cause millions of dollars of damage to crops and several other things, including disease spread to farmers livestock. Removing these invasive animals is legal by any means necessary in the great state of Texas.

Great video guys, but how to you guys process them? Do you guys use them for your dogs or do they go to a pet food processing plant or do you guys stick them in a hole in the ground and plant trees over them? I am curious as a lot of hunters here in Australia leave them where they are and unfortunately they become food for more pigs and wild dogs which actually exacerbates the problem.

I would hope that all that meat is donated to Hunters for the Hungry or some other organization, and not just target practice. Good video. Thanks. 5:15 to 5:28. Think I counted 8 rounds fired at that hog and saw 2 hits in the rear half. More lead required. As a rule of thumb when using 556 ammo, a hog running at 20mph (10yds/sec) across the shooter at 100 yds needs a 1yd lead. Increase as appropriate for longer ranges and a speedier hog ie 200yds for 30mph hog needs 3 yds.

@@ThermalFeed Hadn't thought of that, but if you know what that is, it can be included. As a matter of interest how long is it? 10th of sec would be another yard of lead at 100m range

I dunno why the farmers don’t just fence off the area around the feed troughs. It’s what I did on my farm here in Tasmania. Made a ‘feed pen’ with water and feeding troughs that is in the centre meeting point of 4 of my 5 paddocks. Access is through a gate or gated ramp from each paddock. Normally the gate is open to which ever paddock they are in, but when I want to muster my sheep or trap the feral critters, only the ramp is open. Easy to control, and saves a lot of time.
