O'Carolan left an incredible legacy. An itinerant harper, he wrote this, the melody line for a perfect baroque concerto. Acoording to legend, Italian compose Giminiani (sp?) made so disparaging remark about "peasant music" in O'Carolan's hearing. This was O'Carolan's reply! Not sure if the legend is true, but it's certainly credible.
