WHAT IS IXION?
IXION combines city building, survival elements and exploration, into a thrilling space opera as you explore the stars. Propelled onwards through a perilous journey, you are the Administrator of the Tiqqun space station, charged with finding a new home for humanity.
A population to manage, survivors to find, cryopods to recover... Maintain your crew's trust in the corporation that started this venture, or face failure and mutiny. Six sectors can be unlocked within the station, each able to house more population, support new jobs, and provide opportunity to monitor the crew with the Data Listening System. Will you bring hope to the people?
IXION combines survival elements, exploration, conflict and resolution through player choices, resource management, and and overarching story that takes players through the vastness of space.

When I first ran this chapter, I hadn't gotten the defused missile on chapter 3 or the drone defense on the external build menu, so my run was warping between planets desperately sticking ahead of trios of missiles. That was stressful but fun especially when I lit the quasar.

YES! Animated desktop backgrounds!!! I agree, that is something this game NEEDS! Oh also, having the water treatment center would reduce the need to harvest ice, but since this is really close to the end of the game, I don't know if it really matters now. =^x^=

And one thing you might not noticed on the map is the fact that the pulse also cleared drones swarm around planets. Which means you can move around once the Piranesi is beaten.

Need 4 airlocks at this point. Algae farms are by far more worthwhile and after the fusion plant upgrades, water requirement is minimal for tons of food.

So, charlie, the reason your batteries lost charge is the storm - that storm doesnt do damage to the hull, but has a chance of sapping power from your ship! its a magnetic storm!

37:27 the batteries were definitely still very full when it went all red so it was probably a hack without a warning message. The pulsar looks pretty much almost exactly like the neutron stars in Elite Dangerous, which is also a wonderful screenshot simulator. You could also record a video and cut it into a seamless loop for an animated wallpaper in Wallpaper Engine.

The Icarus III device used by the science team to awake the pulsar activity is reference to the movie "Sunshine" (the 2 ships, named Icarus I and II in the movie are meant to refresh the solar activity of the dying sun)

Look at the controls, on the settings, there is a shorcut to hide the UI (don't remember if it's "U" or "Ctrl+U"). Keep your counter mesures alive. You'll need it next chapter. You'll also need a lot of colonist, I mean A LOT, and also room for a lot of small bateries.

I don't know if I'm the only one hearing this, but the P.A. of the Piranesi sounds like Giovanni Battista with a lot of audio layering/effects. Which would be an interesting twist, having Battista, a member of the Marduk council at the heart of DOLOS A.E.C. be a traitor and turned into a P.A.

They also introduced Giovanni in the prologue by eating while he was talking to you and the ship here wants to eat you so they do have that similarity as well. It's been massively hinted at that P.A's are people that got turned into them either by choice or having it forced upon them. How long would it take before you start to go crazy? We know almost a century has passed

@@CharliePryor after listening to Naraka's monologue a couple more times, we can actually gather quite a bit of lore from this. For one, this is 100% Battista speaking. The "eating" parallel that was pointed out here, the accent (a bit hard to tell at first), but most importantly, they both end with "That sounds like an opportunity knocking to me", and Naraka's "Opportunity knocks." (Note: even Edden started calling the Piranesi "he" instead of "it" and following with the naming theme of the previous P.As, Naraka roughly translates to "hell" in a few religions e.g. Buddhism.) With that out of the way, Naraka has most likely revealed to us that Edden was Naomi, a hidden member of the Marduk council, perhaps turned into a P.A. for speaking against Vanir Dolos. Which would lead on to explain the concept of the Naomi protocol, which is a corrupted Naomi reaching out using ciphered messages through a P.A. that was programmed to protect the interests of DOLOS and to even mislead or withhold key information. While I'm on the lore hunt for this game, I might as well make a giant Reddit post about it :)

no, naomi is edden, it's like other p.a. . They're just parts of human consciousness, but ours p.a. is better becouse Naomi was creator of technology and made some backdoors for herself in system to disobey DOLOS protocols and give us, a Tiqun administrator a choice, a choice to "stay human" and not only follow program.

Probably all these anomalies are made by a kind of "intra-dimensional crossing/contact universes". You basically exchange your crew with those of other parallel universes that have just minimal changings from your own universe. Kinda interesting. Of course there's the chance that these people from other parallel universes can't actually live on our own universe because its physical laws are different or simply because they don't belong here. So their matter, their atoms and particles are "alien" to this universe and could be not find its place here.

why didn't you max out the updates on your storage? if i saw that correctly one of the updates was a flat doubling of the capacity for the big storage and one other upgrade would allow you to store TWO different resource types! no more deciding which storage bay to empty out to get your electronics...

Drones come in too late to be truly useful. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good, but by the time you get access to them, you’re likely kinda set with logistics anyways. They end up providing a small increase in efficiency of resource allocation, instead of a significant one.

Drones are purely logistical. They transport resources between sectors, but they fly around, not being slowed down on the road networks. They aren’t for defense, on the Tiqqun

To maximize your running efforts, you cannot run like a scared rabbit. I'd guess you have to wait for the attacks and piranesi to get closer before moving. Your moves were not an optimal escape pattern.

My moves were awesome. You don’t need them to get close at all. You just need them to release the drones. At no point was I not moving away from a target his attacks weren’t already moving towards. It was near-perfect execution in the escape, having no advanced knowledge of what he would do

i never got the missile countermeasure system. i went back on your video and checked, the option you chose to disarm the bomb is what gives you the upgrade for the missile, in that place i chose to blow up the bomb which got me something else. i have been running from this bastard AI for hours and i dont know what to do since no save goes back that far for me to reload the game and get the missile upgrade. this sucks.

Boss battle was honestly really disappointing. Even more so on second play through on Challenge mode since I had the hull/engine/EVA/etc upgrades that time.
