So I actually know the cousin of that Asian lady with the app. And what rly happened was they booked her to be on the show but then didn’t actually get her on the show until a year and a half later. So in that time the company grew a lot and she got other investments. On a side note she was already very rich. Her husband is like some rich Singaporean businessman who made some sort of accounting software.

He meant that you can not offer the entrepreneur less than what they came here asking for (rules of the show so entrepreneurs don't ask for 10M for 5%). Having a large variety (progressive relaxations that focus on your body or mind, skills teaching, coping methods for panic attacks) of high quality meditations all in one place, and being able to do it anywhere at anytime (they come as short as 1-2 minutes) can be a very powerful tool for a large demographic of people. Headspace has had very solid growth in the last 7 years.

i have a muse headband for meditation, it's pricy but essentially it measures your brain activity as you meditate. i think this is the one viable "meditation app" (the product is just the headband so it's not really selling the app, but you can freely use the app without the headband), because it provides actual value to your meditation experience and i myself noticed that i got better at meditating. also, i'd disagree that only meditating for 5 minutes isn't really worth it, but i think selling just an app is a scam because you can literally meditate for free lol

Although meditating for five minutes can be valuable, trying to fit meditation into a five minute timeslot seems too stressful to actually be productive. You don't have the time to not be focusing on how much time you have left and then you're stressing over how much time you have and then trying to speedrun meditation and it all just seems a bit counterproductive.

To badly paraphrase the late Sean Lock, Richard Branson’s first job was distributing reggae. Now he oversees a major infrastructure network. That’s not a normal career path, distributing reggae to running the fucking trains. Most people who distributed reggae 40 years ago would count themselves lucky if they were still distributing reggae.

I remember in British schools, Branson had a campaign for kids to start their own business and they'd get a £10 investment to turn into £100 or some shit, it was cool but I don't think it went anywhere at all lmfao
