You are getting the talk he gave completely wrong - it isn't about "attacking" males or "male self-hatred" - a lot of the suicides among men in the military could be prevented, if they didn't feel it to be a sign of weakness to talk about their emotional state.

I suggest you cease projecting your insecurities onto others hoping they will resolve them for you by agreeing with you. That is a dream world. Learn to be comfortable with who you are and just do you without shame, apology, explanation or justification.
