@joeymendez98142 ай бұрын
That’s what’s wrong with most of the guys in this comments you guys don’t know shit about football. You’re just going off of what you’ve heard or what you watched last season.. Russell Wilson was in the top five last season under pressure and a broken down pocket just behind Lamar Jackson, Brock Purdy, and a few other guys so for you to say that he wouldn’t do well against this offensive line. It’s pretty fucking stupid not to mention he’s played with poor offensive lines most of his career
@joeymendez98142 ай бұрын
The offense is bottom, half of the league in points efficiency in passing everybody expects him to say with Justin Fields, who can’t read a defense to save his life or hit a wide open receiver. He’s regressed every week over the last three weeks. He’s starting to have more turnover worthy plays and then positive plays and if it isn’t for the referees and a few lucky drops, he has 7 to 8 interceptions already not to mention the six fumbles.. it’s time to move on bring them in to run the ball but other than that he’s the average quarterback he was in Chicago. They’re four and two because their defense played lights out in those four wins the two games where they were struggling fields had a chance to win games and he blew it.

I am pretty surprised how well Fields has turned out under center for the Steelers. Granted, it's not perfect and Fields still makes mistakes, but I think it will take some time before he can shake off the rust of being in that awful Bears system. Plus, Fields is 25, and has yet to reach his prime, so if the Steelers can successfully resurrect his career, they may have their answer against Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson in a tough AFC North division. My only advice for the Steelers is to be patient, both with his development and with offering him a big payday. Even if Fields is playing well right now, I still think he needs to definitively prove why he is deserving of a big payday.
@grantward82182 ай бұрын
I know Fields' passing numbers aren't great, but he's been doing what he's asked to do, managing the game and avoiding turnovers. Not to mention the fact that his legs have gotten him out of a lot of situations that Wilson would've been dead meat in. On top of that, you have to consider that he only has two receivers (Muth and Pickens) that can consistently get open. Would Wilson complete more passes than Fields? Quite possibly. But will that offset what Fields can do with his legs? I seriously doubt it. Aside from that, starting Wilson won't make our receivers better at getting separation, which is also hindering the passing game. With all that AND a makeshift offensive line, I just don't see how Wilson is going to do anything but make our offense worse. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see this going well at all.
@three60unit2 ай бұрын
Justin Fields is on pace for almost 3800 total yards, over 20 total touchdowns, 2 turnovers, on 66% completion. The Steelers are also on track to go anywhere from 11-6 to 12-5 and potentially win the AFC North. That is what the Steelers need with their hard nosed scrappy defense leading the way. The switch to Russ just doesn't make sense to me at this point.

It would be low IQ move but I am not surprised by Tomlin. He has mismanaged the offense for years in favor of the defense splash plays.
