I’m a trucker from Alberta (the canadian “texas”, the cowboy and oil country of the north). Drove trucks allover 48 states, 10 provinces, 2 territories and the state of Alaska since 1988 without any wrecks and no claims of any kind. Mostly in the heavy haul side of the trucking business, oversize and overweight, big and heavy freight. The last twenty years or so I was a leased owner/operator leased to Landstar Ranger out of Jacksonville, FL, but I went bankrupt and lost my truck and heavy haul multi axle trailer because of Trudeau’s 2022 vax mandates. No customer will wait an extra 14 days to get their freight delivered because of the mandated quarantine period imposed on the unvaxed cross border truckers after Jan. 2022. Anywho, I looked into getting an asylum or a work visa in the US in order to legally haul freight inside the US. It was impossible for me as an english speaking Canadian with a 35 years spotless driving record. I guess that these other folks that don’t speak a lick of english are much better for the US economy than me, right? Canada is no different. They’re importing truckers here from the Philippines, India, Pakistan and allover the world ! Truckers are treated here like “worker class” were treated on a pre civil war southern plantation ! We’re doomed !

It's A shame to what's happened to the trucking industry, They've invited drivers from 3rd world countries to drive on our interstates, And your right how if they don't speak English you know they can't read or write it isn't that along putting the public in danger, Go to the truckstops now Absolutely filthy trash everywhere and the bathrooms even worse there not safe to use, They've brought their culture with them.

Deregulation and having one man company/ owner operator it is virtually impossible to unionize or have one collective bargaining contract. That is probably the goal back then when the government deregulated the trucking industry.

Well stated young man, I left the trucking industry 8 1/2 years ago with over 4M accident and citation free miles. The driver facing camera is actually used against you in the event of a collision by your company and the Billboard Attorney, also could lead to civil action against you personally. I had hoped the industry would have spent more time and effort installing measures to defend its employees. For those drivers doing dumb stuff, you own some of this issue! Skilletface is back out!

Last week, I was in Arkansas making a delivery. I met a set team of drivers from Mexico. I happened to speak Spanish, but they didn't speak a lick of English. So I talked with them. I don't think him not speaking English was reason for his accident. Not like he misread a sign and killed the motorcyclist
@WillVanHorn-po8xw
@WillVanHorn-po8xw 2 ай бұрын
@@damilion7931 That is true, his lack of language did not cause the deadly tragic event. The point is that the driver, out of MI, required a translator to communicate with the officers, investigators and during court. So the stronger point is: per FMCSA regulations; the driver technically was an unlawful driver because he was not able to communicate in english well enough to perform his CMV duties. Therefore, he should not have been operating that truck and 3 motorcyclist would probably still be alive. 49 CFR, Section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) currently states that a person is qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle if he/she can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. Clear violations allowed by the double standards by our government !

No plot for truckers only. The plot is to replace the entire workforce with a third world country workforce, as much as possible. See those truckers banning together scared them, even though it was weak, they saw the potential it COULD be, if properly organized. Wouldn't even need everybody like most company unions, just enough. The "people" having that kind of power? these days?...NOT happening.

@@MikeMitchell-pi6dv Of course you can... what happens with possible reality as the title reads: "The Plot To REMOVE American Truckers From The Trucking Industry"? Then where are you with paying your bills and taking care of your family? I have 20 years in this, what has become, another corrupt slavery racket. I was told the problem with getting truckers to unite and com together is because truckers all have alpha personalities. Wrong! Your comment reenforces [the] prevailing truth. Which is: it's much easier to live on a bent knee under the tyrannical guise of security; rather than making some sacrifices to say no. To take a stand for positive peaceful change! Where would our republic be if our Forefathers didn't sacrifice their all to create our Constitution? Just another land under the rule of a king - bad or good! But then, starting 160 years ago, we the people fell asleep to allow ourselves to be ruled by a the Marist Washington District of Corruption which has slimmed its way down to the local county and township levels. One proven solution is an organization, that is already established in all 50 states and 1700 of 3143 counties Republic wide. TactialCivics.com

When you’re at the truck stop look at the front of the tractors. The double plate is a B1 driver. One plate is USA and other is Mexico. These are B1 drivers that are Mexican, not US citizens. Laughlin ge auS companies like Swift and Pam Transport and ISA trauck are hiring them and paying them 28 cents a miles even if they have 30 years experience. Warehouses as far north as Michigan and Wisconsin are hiring newly arrived immigrants that don’t speak English to work there and office personnel are bilingual. The warehouse workers are paid less too and the American tax payer is subsidizing their housing. Im trying to start a Teamsters at the Pam Terminal in Laredo tx now. Just in Texas alone, at any given time there are 30,000 B1 drivers going in all directions.

OTR trucking a rough business anyway has been a even worse nightmare since de regulated trucking in 1979. This rant in the video could have been made in 1987 and nothing has changed and we are in 2024 now. The lie is trucking is a decent gig and there is a driver shortage. The truth is as long as cdl schools can turn out hundreds of new drivers a week for the Mcdriver jobs nothing will change.

Spot on with everything. It’s getting to the point where if we had a union or someone representing all drivers then we wouldn’t be dealing with a lot of these problems. I understand the Camera thing for some companies on an insurance level, but we are going to be replaced by drivers from other countries who don’t speak English let alone no are laws. They may have a CDL in other countries and they can pass enough of the test here or they go to companies that will train them in 48 hours or something on how to pass the test. And they’ll end up at companies making the 25 $.30 a mile or whatever and will happily just do what they have to do. Until they burn out. At least those of us who are still here right now are pissed and wants a change. We see the problems and we see the hypocrisy. The companies only want profit and they’re willing to do whatever it takes to continue the profits. Which is understandable from a business standpoint, but your employees/drivers who are the ones that keep you profitable, should be paid for their sacrifices. It should be a living wage and if you’re going to work 70 hours a week, you shouldn’t be a middle-class employee. You should be breaking six figures minimum.

In the 17 and early 1800's there was another form of " slavery " called " Indentured servitude " they were brought over from countries like Ireland and the Slavic nations. They were to work for nothing for 7 years and then become " free citizens ". The work visa that the US has in place, is basically the same thing for these foreigners. Pay them nothing or near nothing and expect them to do a job that they really aren't qualified to do. Yes they may have drove a " truck " in their native country and the way they drive it definitely shows, no regard for the motoring public and American truck driver.

I worked for pam for a year. Their sole agenda is to hire the b1 mexico drivers. They are allowed to make deliveries in America. Fmcsa requires drivers to fully understand english. .25% of pam drivers cant speak English. Not sure how they get away with this. Let alone all the non English speaking americans in laredo they hire daily.

Hiring more workers is a course of last result for a capitalist. The second they can get rid of the driver entirely, they will do exactly that without hesitation. If you can't pay your bills that's not their problem now is it?

We've been in the automation realm for decades, it's just progressing faster now because of technology. In the future, long after I am gone, there will be very few humans actually working, it will be robots doing the labor. The world will be under a gbi system (guaranteed basic income) and there will be no saving or working towards a vacation..lol we will have what we are given and we will be happy to have it. Sounds great huh? @@bentonja668

It's not just the trucking companies. Every shipper (which means every coporation) want's cheaper freight rates, and keeping wages low for drivers means they'll have higher profits.

Think about this... There is a fundamental Flaw in your Logic. Albeit, I agree with you on the fact that as fast as you complain, you are "Replaced." Albeit, I agree with you on the idea that DOT - Across the board is "Selective" on just what they do with regards to certain "Violations." - There have been just as many times when Law Man has done me a "Solid" or two to help me understand I could have received worse and treated me good. But, where I disagree with you is the idea that there will be this major conspiracy to Replace us with Automotons. We cannot be replaced. Now, what do I mean? You can automate the S**t out of an industry. You can Electrify the whole continent. But the one thing you cannot replace is individual Choice. The one "Leg" up on these damn robots we have is the desire to achieve, and the will to get it done. And as for your 'Take" on the Immigrants... Well, Even though I think there are FAR too many of them in our industry, you really should be careful what you ask for, cause the way I see it, You can't have one without the other. If they can clean our closets, our yards, and harvest our crops, they can damn well transport the s**t too. I don't like it any more than you do that they can make $100 go through to mortgage a house in Portugal, but I have to respect their right to work, and do whatever they want with their money. The same way they respect my right to Build a KZbin Empire with mine. The Blood of this economy is the Rights we share as Citizens. The fact that someone felt they had the chops necessary to become a citizen, that's questionable at best, but until they come up with a more effective way of ridding our Nation of those that break rules and bring us down, the least we can do is respect their rights the same way they do us. You are a talented orator. You make a valid point in that our industry does need some changes. Judging by the comments that exist already you have hit on a sensitive topic that generates a lot of buzz. I have covered it a time or two on my channel as well. But more-over that we do need to one thing a couple of viewers have already opined on and that's "We Need Unity" Unity of Spirit, to make Truckin Great Again. Unity of Purpose to make sure it gets done... And Finally, Unity of Effort - Which up till now we all are a little weak on... Keep hitting that Hot Button Topic enough, and maybe we can make that a permanent change. Keep up the good Content, and Keep R Rollin #TruckinCity

It’s working but as fast as they are moving with the agenda, they aren’t building fast enough to compensate. Wanna bleed out small businesses and put in self driving trucks that will be tested in live traffic but haven’t perfected the technology. A self driving truck has no consciousness to anticipate real traffic. They want all electric trucks by 2030 but haven’t built one truck stop with charging stations. These people at the top are not that smart. All of this to keep people as workers and not dependent on a system that we no longer want to participate in. They don’t want any more elons or jeff bezos’, they want you to work for them people and keep them in position.

Delusional and in denial. California is in the process of going all electric at their ports and eventually statewide (probably with a few exceptions). And most of what Cali pioneers trickles down to the rest of the country. Where is KZbin headquarters for example...

You do not have to worry about that issue if you are a Teamster. If they hire those people it is no advantage to them as they must pay to the contract. 🦇

Just about every job you can think of could be replaced with technology. When no one has a job the corporations will not make money from people and government wont get taxes from people without jobs.

Safety is #1 because it gives the largest corporation a competitive advantage over their smaller competition. OTR truck driving can never be made "safe" btw. So when you tell another driver to "be safe" the only way to accomplish that is to not drive the rig.
