Amy they should apply the driver facing camera to activate in the event of an accident only, or few seconds/minutes leading up to the accident, just like regular dashcams do.

I can’t believe Prime Managment said one driver caused them to put cameras in their trucks. If I found out it was me that they were talking about, I would sue them. The truth is they are using that as an excuse. It’s shameful that a company that big can’t own it!!!

Exactly! Just be honest about it. There was no need to lie about it. That's the most upsetting thing with all these companies who try and say it's about safety. Just be honest with your drivers and say, "Hey guys we need to save money on insurance so that's why we're getting them." Drivers probably still won't like it, but we'd understand and respect you more for at least being honest about it...

Yeah I started blocking all people who leave crazy comments because I figured they were the ones reporting my channel. Every since then, I've done a little bit better with the algorithm. And yeah, I get those scam promotion emails too...lol. Crazy thing though, Outin's initial email reaching out to me went to my spam folder lol

GP Transco is fantastic company to work for! I worked there for just under a year before I decided to come off the road and go local but I would go back to them without a second thought if I wanted to go back otr. The only real con to working for them is that they do run a lot of spot market freight on top of their dedicated customers and those loads can at times be a headache. But when that stuff does go wrong GP will do everything they possibly can to take care of you and resolve the issues. Definitely recommend them not just for the camera policy.

They cover the driver facing camera. However it still recording audio. Gp is a decent company after you get a year experience. You are not going to make 80k in less your there for years. However you can make a lot more specialized and way faster.

It’s not really a topic. The drivers were just told they will be getting cameras if the truck has prime DOT numbers. And the threat of quoting doesn’t phase the higher ups because the same thing happens with E-logs. It’s bs to pay 28 percent to a company of all revenue then also pay 4 k and up for a truck just to be told you need a babysitter in the truck. And then call it a training tool when it’s a gotcha thing. Example you were looking at your mirror to long and this car cut you off you now have a bad sticker now you need coaching. Come to the terminal and get coached how to drive by a non CDL holder that watches your. It’s just like the machine in the building that you use to do your test “drive “. But they hold the whips while we wear the chains. Long as it’s to expensive to go on your own with a new authority and high insurance rate

What is 2 cpm if you ran @ 5 per mile when the market is good. 60 cpm or 58 cpm is still taxed it not 1099 . Opt out camera for my privacy. I drive better without BS of this new generation. I’m from old school generation. 2003

Gp transco isnt a big trucking company man... Mostly a midsize Midwest 150-200 equipment carrier not like a jb hunt or knight with 500+ both tractor and trailer

They have 300+ trucks so that's a large company. They're not a mega carrier. But they are most definitely a large carrier.
