My beautiful mum Maisie Bosquette, Strokestown, County Roscommon, Ireland, passed away 22nd January 2023 in her 90th Year and this was one of her favourites. We played it as she left the Church on the journey to her final resting place. She loved Shane so much. This one is for you mum. I'm so proud of you and all you achieved. Rest peacefully to the greatest mum I could ever dream to have had. 💔 R.I P 🙏🏼

My husband and I had pretty opposite musical taste, but we both loved The Pogues. He picked this song for our first dance at our wedding. ❤ Tragically, a little less than three years after getting married, my husband passed away suddenly and unexpectedly when he was just 44. So I played this song at our honoring ceremony for him too. 💔 He always was and always will be the measure of my dreams…..

1985 was the first band I seen was Springsteen and E Street band at Wembley. great gig,3-4 hours. love folk music and Shane's lyrics, what can you say....... Died on my birthday last year and I'll be having a GREAT DAY, not just for me for the man. Simon Cowell, what does he know?? the men they couldn't hang, another great band. if you haven't heard them listen to the Green Fields of France,my Funeral song. Berried my cousin to it during lockdown and only 10 people there, 5 of us singing us heads off, even the main usher at the crematorium was singing, one of my best mates, so knew the words. Great send off. Just enjoy yourself and music helps alot 😂😂😂😂
