Met Shane, in the Devonshire, in Camden Town, about 88. He would have always drank there. A lovely fella. My brother and my friend were all somewhat hungover, Shane gave us a wee tonic bottle, his manager always gave to him before a gig. Well it started the party again. We had a good day's craic with him. We talked about Behan, Wilde and Heaney. A day I will never forget. Because he is now in that collection of great Irish poets.
