Right before the Irish Rover he Hacks one out and you can hear him faintly imitate "like Ronnie drew", that man is a legend. Have a long and prosperous life to all the remaining Pogues and anyone who appreciates them. Cheers.

Seen the Pogues three times live in Munich, always had them on my headphones - played from a Mc of my walkman, marching through Munich as a 17 years old Skinhead. Later at Christmastime they brought out a Fairytale of New York. Heavy on Cocaine, and still awake, and alone after our Christmasparty, I began to understand what a Genius Shane ever to me will be, I decided by this moment to hear his music till to the end of my bloody life, for to honour this great artist. You're an Angel to me Shane Mac Gowan.....❤

The problem is that Shane is certainly not ugly. He is very far from being ugly. He has beautiful eyes and a lovely thin face. He is tall and all the rest of it. He has a very attractive personality. It is a matter of taste ; it is all a matter of taste. Cause, even with his teeth, he still remains certainly far more ATTRACTIVE than the one who sent him the remark. No doubt about it and even though I never saw the guy who said that !!! He will never be what Shane is !!!!

When he got married his wife talked him into getting them fixed. Watch the documentary Johnny Depp made about him called "crock of gold". It's really good and goes through his whole life. Shane says a few words with a bit of prodding from Depp but it's interesting and he whistles a lot due to his teeth and he laughs a lot. It is a good watch for certain

I don't have any insider info but it seems fatigue + booze had their hooks in him at this point. You contrast his energy during these years with the amount of sheer joy the band are trying to transmit. It's no wonder they got frustrated. But it's nobody's "fault".
