Karl Gotch was teaching that Back Ride with Power Half Nelson combo submission. There's a video on youtube with Jake Shannon demoing it, and discussing how Gotch showed him that move back in 2005.

Gordon Ryan submitted someone with this and didn't stop after the gap because he didn't know it could submit someone. Every one looked at him weird for not stopping afterwards and he looked at everyone confused, saying "I didn't use a submission, it was a power half nelson!"

do you know more about half nelson variation? in recent years i've seen few times people use it in mma to prevent bellying up and keep opponents flattened studies i would like to see from you next: 1. half nelson in mma 2. crab ride in mma 3. reverse shoulder roll in mma
