The Thief on the cross speaks so much on the humility and sincerity of repentance. He didn't even ask to be saved. He just meant what he said. 🥺

He speaks the truth. In his story, I can hear echoes of my own. It's a journey inwards, and most people can't handle what they find. But we can not improve ourselves by denying what lies in the darkest parts of us. Christ speaks of being visted by the spirit of truth he will send to us when we live by His commandment to love one another as He loves us.

Egoic problem. Who knows …he could’ve have just as easily turned to Zeus , and/or the son Hercules, incidentally also born of a virgin!!! had the Greeks not been defeated by the Jews.. . who then had some kinda savior, a “Messiah”.
