What if the World Nobles are actually a form of food source for the Five Elders? Not for standard consumption, but more the "swallow your soul" type. The World Nobles could be similar to wagyu/kobe beef in that they are given pampered lives where their every desire is available to them, leading them down a path of total corruption. Souls utterly twisted and tasty, all herded and fattened far away from the world. I just have a hard time seeing the Five Elders being all that benevolent to them, but I can see them giving "blessings" as a trap.

As far as I know sea prism stone just suppresses the devil fruit, but it still works (luffy still remains made of rubber underwater), so my guess would be that Marco might be able to regenerate but maybe at a slower rate, or possibly regenerate after removing the sea prism stone. While blackbeard's power seems to be absolute nullification, as if the user never ate the fruit. My main indea is that the gorosei seem to be unconcerned with damage possibly due to their devil fruit power, and if sea prism stone was their only bane, I doubt they would let the marines to have access to it.

@@superqwat8618 I think being submerged is different from getting shackled with sea prism stone. While submerged, a devil fruit user is not able to move on his/her own, but the fruit's abilities are still accessible. WIth sea prism stone, it seems to depend on the concentration. Remember Luffy's time in Kaido's prison. He wasn't weakened, but couldn't use his abilities. However, in Dressrosa, Luffy mentioned that just touching sea prism stone weakens him to the point of not even being able to hold things. Maybe it's partially a Nocebo-effect, but it would make sense.

I'm surprised that no one has yet mentioned the fact that the Elders' summoning circles had their numbers on them. Saturn was 5 (as we know), Markus Mars is 4, Warcury is 3, V. Nusjuro is 2, and Ju Peter's circle wasn't shown but we can infer that it's 1. Idk if the numbers correspond to their strength, age, or something else entirely. It sure caught my attention though 😭🔥

Peter is a pure Ground or Ground Dark type. Nusjuro is an Ice Ghost, Ice Dark or Dark Ghost type. Warcury is a Fire Dark or Fire Fighting type. Mars is a Flying Ghost, Flying Dark or Flying Psychic type. Saturn is a Poison Dark, Psychic Dark or Psychic Poison type. The Dark typing is mainly suggested as it is usually the "Akuma/Evil" type and the gorosei are pretty evil, wether or not they're actual demons.

What if they actually do that, and the only one left to assume captain is Usopp? So I agree that Ethan and Zoro are the solid matchup as both are swordsmen, and think Oda will match them up when the time comes in the manga. But I would like to point out that there are FIVE Gorosei to deal with and TEN Straw Hats to potentially pit against them so Brooke still has a solid chance of also being matched up with Ethan alongside Zoro. If this is the way Oda goes about it, I want Sanji and Usopp to be matched up with Mars since Sanji is the only one who can move freely in the air(much like a bird) and Usopp added in because of the itsumade"s mythology of being taken out by an archer in some stories. I haven't really thought of or heard any good pairing for other members of the Gorosei.
