Just a question why do people cast the net but not let the whole lot go, and hold the other end then let it down on the water?

Great work mate, and some nice pockets hauled up. Anyone may think you have thrown a cast net before ....... I Shouldnt have watched that cos i am hungry now and want to go prawning. It was good to see other fishos being friendly and not jumping on top of your space. Have a great cook up and be careful you dont get prawn shell caught in your teeth lol cheers

hahah Yeah mate there has been a bit of technique practicing there. its very consistent now though! I've actually found the prawning crew are all pretty friendly, no one usually goes too angry, everyone just works together and has a few laugh! Cheers!

Love your work Sammy, but dont you think that’s a little overkill?
@jordangarnsworthy6165 жыл бұрын
Team Fat Flathead as one of the people who benefits from Sam’s prawns, I say play on!
@SammyHitzkeFishing5 жыл бұрын
Team Fat Flathead Personally I don’t think it is overkill at all mate. I see no drama’s keeping a bag limit of prawns to provide for my family and share with my friends. If I was going out and doing it day in and day out then yeah that’s well and truly excessive. But, No different to keeping a few feeds of fish when you go on a trip?
@teamfatflathead75815 жыл бұрын
All good, i understand that, as long as it ain’t going to wast! Ha! Just rarely catch even half of how many prawns you catch in one throw lol. I’m just not quite shore whether everyone taking 10L of prawns each is good for the environment, thats all...
@micklivin84185 жыл бұрын
Ridiculous. If everyone boycotted the seafood shops and caught their own prawns, fish and crabs etc etc I would think it would be far more sustainable than what is happening to our oceans right now. Common sense really. Well done Sammy. 👍🏽

@Justfish65 жыл бұрын
🤦♀️Wouldn’t be any different bag limits on prawns are the same whether your using a cast net or a scoop net just means we would be able to catch them in different areas where we might not have before that

@@Justfish6 well said i have been prawning since 1980 and see no difference in totals caught, except in drought and floods and one whitespot man made wipeout.
