At the start of the season I hated it. But its grown on me a bit. Its pretty mid tier imo and beats a lot of the ugly ones of the past. But is a downgrade from last season for sure

It's alright. It's not exactly bad-looking, but it lacks the pizzaz of the 2007-2013 ones and also isn't as clean as the last one. The NBC one too is beautiful. It's just clearly the weakest one in a while

Nothing tops the PL visual identity shift and scoreboard in 2016, people may call it too minimalistic but I think it suited the league so much, especially with the intros using rl pics of players, managers, crowds, and the cherry on top was that 🔥 of a theme tune

I adore the glossy scoreboards of the early 2010s. Nowadays that general style is called Frutiger Aero, and I was a massive fan of that art style at the time. So to have the Premier League follow in its footsteps made kid me so happy. Which is why i was also so mad when they simplified everything and made it flat/boring to look at

Honestly, I kind of like the new scoreboard. It pretty much has everything you want from a scoreboard, good visibility, (team) colors and simplicity. Also the Prem logo in the middle also brings everything together. If you compare it to the previous one it is still simple, but with more character and generally more interesting. Also I like the fact that the score numbers are bigger, you can just see them on the first glance. In the end I think for you this just needs a little time to get used to, but I already like it.

The current leader, Botafogo, had something like a 16 point lead like three months ago and then had a streak where they won only 3 out of like 9 games after that and bottled the lead Arsenal style, with the 4-teams-relegated system they've got, that fight is also interesting. But what's really insane is just the games they're playing I'd recommend watching Botafogo vs Palmeiras and Gremio highlights, that league is fucking PEAK

Maqwell, I'm on my knees begging you, please make a video on the Brazillian league. We're potentially witnessing a bottle job to put Arsenal's to shame. Botafogo had a 13-points lead after the first half, the best first half campaign of all time, and everyone thought the title race was done and dusted. But now after going winless in 5 straight games they are leveled on points with Grêmio and Palmeiras, 1 point ahead of Bragantino and 3 ahead of Flamengo, with 5 matches left in the season. It's just insanity over here right now.

Liga MX scoreboards have seen numerous changes over different TV channels but my personal favorite will always be Univision's scoreboard from 2013-2019, it has a really nice distinct touch to it and feels pretty nostalgic.

I think the "glossy era" aligns more with the design trend of "frutiger aero" and such of the time. Imo, probably one of my favorite design trends of the late 2000s/early-mid 2010s - especially for scorebugs. (2010/14 World Cup, 2012 Euros, early '10s UCL scorebugs...etc) The glossiness just makes it pop out more, and provides more nostalgia.

It’s creative, it’s refreshing, it’s super clear (for the most part, they need to fix the white on gray problem though) and overall very aesthetically pleasing to look at. My first few football games are actually PES (i.e., Man Blue and London FC) instead of FIFA and it's clear that license wasn't their strong suit. However, for every edition, there were always different mods that were free to download, so it "patches" things up (nice accidental pun). I remember choosing the design for the scoreboard was an additional delight to the experience and I love it. Glad to see someone else shares the same passion for this seemingly trivial thing.

I've actually grown into the new one. I just am really conflicted with the colors. On some match ups they fit so well and on the other its trash. I think the need to take PL purple out and go with a neutral color so it fits any match

as I mostly watch games on my monitor I don't have any problems with seeing the score and teams, but moving away a bit on the Arsenal v Forest scorebug and yeah its just a bunch of gray on the right

For me scoreboards should have to do more with the visibility problem some people have vision problems so they can't see stuff like the La Liga letters on the scoreboard which are just super fucking tiny or the contrast between grey and white. Aside of that, the bigger the number and the better it is for people who might not have the best vision to know what's going on and not having to squint their eyes the better. I also like if they make the scoreboard like 2 very contrasting colors, so that way colorblind people don't have troubles when a red and a green team plays or so on *that should translate too for the shirts the teams use*
