I hope they play some gigs, I haven't seen Peter Tolson play since Silk Torpedo. Would have loved to have seen em just after Parachute came out.{ I was just a liitle bit young to go to gigs then) That German TV stuff is brilliant

@millerfarrsuperstar Cool. I hope they play some gigs. I haven't seen Peter Tolson play since Silk Torpedo. Would have loved to see em playing Parachute live with Tolson like that German TV stuff

WOW. isn't it great Mick didn't stay with the Stones. Parachute is one of my top 3 albums of all time. That these 'bad guys' can all get together and still deliver music greatness is a pleasure to behold. If you can get their re-union concert at Abbey Road [ Snapper Music], when they do SF Sorrow in its entirety. With the magic storytelling of Arthur Brown. Priceless...and timeless. And they're still pretty pretty for old blokes ha

LOL. I know Mick Taylor was in the Stones and left, but I think you mean DICK Taylor. I am more a fan of the Tolsen era Pretty Things. Tolsen's guitar playing was magical. There are very few Tolsen era songs that the Pretty THings played when Dick rejoined. Havana Band was the ONLY song the Prettys played with Dick in the band during their classic rock era (Freeway Madness, Silk Torpedo and Savage Eye). I actually cant recall even if Dick played songs from the Parachute album in their regular sets, so this is a bit of a surprise.

A decent performance BUT personally, I would have put the bassist on lead guitar and Dick Taylor on bass. Dick originally started out as a bass player, but his guitar solo here was just so basic and lacking fire. He also couldn't replicate the straight forward riff of In the square, instead just playing one note fills. No wonder they never played this Opus after Pete Tolson passed. Tolson was so good that they really only played Havana Bound from his backlog
