In a fallen world, physical beauty can be a challenge at times. A personal relationship with God is needed to help with the gift of beauty. I believe that everyone has been given a measure of beauty by God. Truthfully, the most beautiful people are all those who fear God. The inner beauty of Christ shines through them. I once saw a 70 plus year old woman and I marveled at her beauty. It wasn't because of her looks, it was because Jesus Christ was living on the inside of her. PTL! 😊🙏

Mercy you will believe flattery when you forget or dont believe in the promises that God says about you when you do not know your own beauty. Flattery is a trap that men use to seduce them. When you know who you are and your beauty in Christ you wont fall for the tricks.

If a girl doesn't know that she is beautiful, she is a constant target. Other women set her up because of jealousy, when they are threatened by her, and men that are not the right kind of men will target her too. But, beautiful is as much about how we feel about ourselves as it is physical. I think it's important that women realize they're beautiful, because we all grow old one day. We need to appreciate what God gives us, and do not allow other people to tell us who we are. Because most people most of the time are wrong.

This is very good. It really troubles me when I see these "beauty gurus" on KZbin, with thousands of followers--yet, with no humility, no love of God, and yet all of these young women and idolize and aspire to be like these women. These women have all this "beauty," but often they'll make videos about how they struggle with depression and anxiety, etc. . .the beauty they have doesn't amount to anything. Their souls are still in darkness, and yet this is what people want--all of the outer trappings with nothing of eternal value or substance. Outward beauty is fine, but having Jesus if far greater (of course).

Deanna I agree. I foolishly cased the standard of beauty and felt nothing but empty and lost who I was. Society focuses so much on the outside now but they obviously have an agenda to keep us dumb and spending. It is encouraging to see women of God like Dephne and SimplyFeli using their gift of beauty to also further the kingdom of God. Its easy to judge those with the gift of beauty but we must also remember not to abuse our gifts as well x

Yes, u do have a form of beauty but what is the significance? In the US they say beauty comes a dime a dozen. The world has a standard n most ppl consider beauty in its definition but NO! GOD has lifted a standard against the devil n what they think is prettu is not. Loyalty, faithfulness, honesty, trustworthiness ... the things this world doesn't readily provide. That is true beauty!

"Beauty is a gift from God to be used for his glory, not our own." Well said. However, it was a sin for Abraham to ask his wife to lie about her identity. Had Abraham had a greater faith, he would have trusted God to protect them when they entered Egypt. This is not a story of lovely submission, it is an example of a husband trusting in himself, instead of trusting in God's power to save them. To stay alive, he sold his wife. Sarah was a victim of her husband's poor leadership, and selfishness. If God did not divinely correct the situation, Abraham would have left Egypt without his wife, and without the ability to follow God's calling. The beauty of the story is, that even when we fail... God is able, should He see fit, to step in and turn our failures into good for His glory. This is the grace of God at work that Paul speaks of in, Romans 8:28, “We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

Maybe it was. There are times when people asked Jesus if he was the Christ, and he replied something to the effect of, "you say that I am, I have not said so." Jesus didn't tell everyone who he was, even when they had questions about it. But he was a perfect person. So to me, there is a strange question underlying all of this with regard to revealing all that you know... I will stop there. I can see this could roll into a larger discussion on omission rather than the central message Dephne's post.

He said to give him my face. Let me tell yall, i was happy to have acne. I never experienced it before and i knew it was for a purpose. Now, i do not wear makeup for attention and i do not focus on my looks. My spiritual beauty became important.

Thank you for this Daphne.. I struggle so much in this area. I have little to no friends and majority of the time I always receive compliments for my looks. I honestly feel I am humble in regards to what God has blessed me with. I'm not the type to flaunt or show off my beauty as growing up I always struggled with low self-esteem due to a number of things I have experienced. I lost a lot of friends along the way and people who I thought were my friends over the years. A lot of these people used me and took advantage of me, especially my kindness. However, just this year I have given my life over to Christ and I pray that God continue to humble me and mold me into a beautiful person not only on the outside but on the inside as well as I have always struggled with self-love, especially coming from a family who doesn't really know how to express their love. I pray he gives me strength and sends the right people in my life who will love me for me and take care of my heart. I pray God use me for his will and his purpose according to the plans he has for me. I pray for wisdom and discernment, most of all a closer relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father, In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen 🙏 God continue to bless you Daphne and use you for the greater good. I pray to one day be bold and confident enough to minister on KZbin just like you. Thank you 😇

Alicia Squaire this is so my life. I don’t even think I’m that pretty m. I’ve longed for ppl to see my intelligence since I can remember. It does feel like a curse. Now I’ve moved to a big city where beautiful women sell themselves to the highest bidder. I don’t know if I’m in error for not desiring beauty but I know I won’t prostitute myself.

I have not yet watched this but going through the comment section im alarmed at the misconception of beauty and I feel that some people have missed the point. When I first read that scripture I only judged Abraham but then later I began to understand that the cost of beauty can at times open the door to fear. I myself am a christian woman and I can personally tell you that my beauty has cost me relationships. I was just discussing this topic with the Lord the other day and looking at past friendships etc and analysing why they came to an end and for the most part it was always jealousy from friends or the guy being insecure about my looks (even when he himself was good looking or very confident). As a christian I struggle to make female friendships even, women of God always seem to be suspicious or intimidated. I get dirty looks in church, I even get women just blurring out a compliment when looks are discussed an it will be along the lines of "you're lucky you ...." it is usually then that I painfully realise why I am often left out or my attempts to befriend women are jolted. I don't particularly regard myself as being all that beautiful if im honest, I don't have a perfect figure but the effect it has on people is bizarre. Men often don't approach me an they will over compliment and dissappear quite early on. I am blessed to have the gift of discernment but it is frustrating living an isolated life. At times I have gotten depressed and thought what is the point, let me tell you I have prayed with women an almost every one of them has lifted a praise to God in regard to my beauty and don't get me wrong I am thankful but beauty often brings a disconnect with people. I regard my beauty as a gift don't get me wrong especially as I was not beautiful when I was a girl but I grew into my looks but people can be very envious particularly girls/women. I understand that Abraham feared the gift he was given in his beautiful wife and believed he might be robbed off this. Remember Sarah is the only women in the Bible described as being so beautiful (I believe maybe Queen Vashti was said to have a good figure) so I imagine that Sarah was stunning. Scripture reminds us of the high regard of beauty and the trouble that is gone to uphold it and I often get confused because this is God's definition of beauty and yet the world calls me beautiful all the time and yet peoole don't want my friendship or my heart. It creates a barrier. I do pray for wisdom and am learning the greatness of God's wisdom. I would still choose beauty for my children but I will build them up with God's word so that they do not face the alienation I have felt by God's people. Let me also say that as an attractive women men can often be disrespectful or feel they have a right to disrespect you. Alot of pretty girls experience molestation or sexual abuse and or rape so I understand why Abraham feared. Plus sometimes we do not necessarily know how to bring things to God In prayer, we can call him foolish but Abraham is a man and yes a clear example that we should seek wisdom from God but many times we first rationalise with human resources instead of seeking God for heavenly resources. Thank God King Abimelech did not lay a hand on Sarah; God intervened. I know personally that I am not just my looks but I am more and often people are suprised that I am not shallow. I have learned that people want to glean from you're beauty an thus corrupt it instead of investing in you're beauty. It's prostitution of you're gift, simply put.

Same here MissBuggable, I have never had a friendship last long enough, envy is the root of it, doesn't matter if these friends had a gift of beauty themselves or other qualities they possessed, instead of them being thankful for their own gifts, they want to corrupt someones elses, I feel your pain, I always elevated others, nothing seems to help. I'm now passed 40, and thought by now that things would be different, but now I have not only the older women who hate me, but the younger women are as equally competitive as I look so young for my age. Its taken me a life time to accept my gift, I still struggle, I cant see what others see, I just know that my appearance and personality has caused me much pain, women don't have my back, and I cant have men as friends either, due to them wanting more, its been a lonely walk, but I wouldn't trade my gift to make my bullies have there way, I just need wisdom on how to handle this journey. I pray for God to knit you to the right people into your life :-)))

Whoaaaaa! I had never thought of Sarah being tempted in that way for being beautiful but I could see what you mean sister! Truly there are fewer Sarah's in this generation but how great it is when a wife gives the place to her husband, because like you said Sarah had power and Abraham depended on her at that time and she still protected her husband. Also, Great point about women who earn more looking down on their husbands, i loved that you brought up that modern point because that happens a lot and I love that you spoke about it because you're right at the end of the day the Lord says to submit yourself to your husband and tells the man to love his wife as he loves the church. Awesome video sis!

Omg you are so true, people who are beautiful never really ask themselves why they are beautiful, unawaring not knowing that they have been given a gift from God. We all receive different gifts from God to promote God’s kingdom, and beauty is gift that ironically is not recognisable as a gift from God but yet it can light up an entire room.

That was right on target and well timed. Living here in NY there is alot of pressure to be young and beautiful. I was a print and commercial model for many years in NY city and though I made money I never felt security in that field. I am in my fifties now and though I know beauty is fleeting, to lose your looks feel like well... loss. Thank God I have Him as my inner beauty and worth or else I would have gotten quite despondent. I was often taken advantage of and displayed as a young woman by men. There was noone to teach me otherwise. I am glad you are bringing this up. You will be getting many replys to this. Thank you for this message. I love studying the life of Sarah and her submission to her husband and faithfulness to God. There's so much to learn about not getting impatient. And also not using my beauty for my own self but focusing on the Lord God alone.

Such a beautiful spirit inside and out. Thank you for shedding light about the gift of beauty. I had never even thought about this perspective, though I never really been into a thing about how outside a person looked ( just general) I think Ive always been in tune with how a person heart was, not that superficial stuff. I seen plenty of beautiful women and men, but just didn't really think that deep about it, idk...anyways thank you sis❤❤❤

WOW....THIS WAS A MUCH NEEDED WORD... BEING VERY PRETTY OR ATTRACTIVE CAN BE VERY TOUGH..PEOPLE MAKE CONCLUSIONS ABOUT YOU EVEN BEFORE THEY GET TO KNOW YOU...SADLY ...EVEN IN THE “ CHURCH”...I ALWAYS SAY THAT BY THE GRACE AND THE MERCY OF GOD...THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PART OF ME( MY HEART)..IS NOT VISIBLE ON THE OUTSIDE..THANKFULLY..ABBA HAS DELIVERED ME FROM APPROVAL ADDICTION...AND TAUGHT ME TO WALK HUMBLY...BUT...BOLDLY...FOR GODS GLORY

This is a beautiful message about beauty. I want God to make me just as beautiful (if not more) beautiful than I am on the outside. Yes Sarah was a great example of a Gorgeous woman who feared the lord and honored her husband Thank you for this encouragement God bless you and Happy New year🎊😍😘🙏🏽

Man, that's some real deep revelation of submission right there, i learned about the respect for his wife too, but i had never really picked up the submissiveness on Sarah's part and i didn't realise she was as beautiful as is actually written. I have learned a 100 other things from this occurence but not Sarah's humility. Great Video!!!

The focus is on Sarah, she is not saying that Abraham was right. She was just showing how she submitted to her husband without getting ahead of God. Then God himself brought them both out of that situation.
