Maybe this is all a dream, the American dream, and some day when we die we’ll see what it all means. No one knows what happens after we die because we’re all still alive. We can have faith and believe, but no one actually knows for certain what takes place in the afterlife. The blind don’t lead the blind. Anyone who claims to know what happens after we die is kidding themselves. It’s comforting to feel like you’re making progress on your plan for eternity, especially if you’re doing so with a devoted and loving family, but it’s all guesswork in the end because dead men tell no tales.

I did my heavenly father decides my choices for me and then he gives me when I wake up in the morning and I face you him constantly. He gives me the right answers. So I love them forever. Hello The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom! Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21 Matt 24 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Jesus said the Father is the only true God! John 17 3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

not my favorite talk. Unfortunately. he is a righteous servant and i respect him, yet, there is always a feeling of coldness in his delivery. he hardly gives personal experiences like the other speakers. It felt more like a chastisement. Lots of quotes with no true life experiences to follow up with. I dont know, he just did not make me feel inspired. Just feeling more inadequate and increased my spiritual stress level trying to follow my gospel compass with gospel principles. Just way too somber. He may not be doing well health wise. Still love him though

I disagree. His talks are so amazing! The spirit is always so strong when he speaks. I think this is why there are many servants. Every person is different and this is how each person can be touched. Certain people like stories, while others like to be talked to directly. This is the beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Nancy Durrett, something my mission president taught his missionaries. If you can come out of general Conference feeling like you need to better, that's all the more better. There are always things to improve on. Not every GA has to share heart warming lovey dovey stories.

I have watched him speak at priesthood meetings in Latin America. He's funny. I think conference talks bring a different atmosphere than a stake meeting. I know I would stress out big time if I had to talk about tge gospel knowing my words would be watched throughout the world. I couldn't do it without causing much confusion.

Remember that the Savior will send the Comforter in times of need. But it is our responsibility to seek that blessing. You and I can do what Elder Bednar asks, because God will never give us something we can't do!

i agree. each general authority has there own unique way of reaching into our hearts and allowing the holy ghost to be that witness to testify of the truth. i still love him. just for me, principles and standards as a convert feel divisive. i remember a time when he gave a talk about how wearing docker pants was not appropriate church attire. what if that was all one could afford?? I truly understand what he was trying to get at and making a point regarding reverence and appearances to how others may perceive the LDS community. However, principles and standards our a broad topic and for someone such as myself, it is fully open to many forms of interpretation. in any case, i will try and listen again to his talk and keep an open mind and heart.
