As someone who daily drives a 20 year old Prius that has been in my family for its whole life, and has now been converted into a semi off-roading POS, I love seeing funny Prius content, sure they aren’t fast in the slightest, but they are reliable! I accidentally left the oil fill cap off, when I was roadtripping 600 miles to phoenix, and all the oil ejected out of the engine and it still drove 400+ miles with NO OIL! that’s a Toyota for you!

With the 20 HP you were sitting a little low in the rear in the water. Putting another 200+ lbs on the back, you might think about shifting the pontoons back a bout a foot or so, or going with longer pontoons to get a little higher out of the water.

My neighbor bought a early 90s Toyota Camry for his wife to drive and it outlasted both trucks he bought for his business. Even used it to push a truck home and up a hill when the transmission blew in his truck. And its still running strong. Blew my mind.

You can't stop a prius. My mom has drove hers down stairs, jumped it, hit three deer, backed into a building, went almost a mile off the highway doing 90. It still gets 55 mpg

Making a suggestion is maybe installing larger rams on the pontoons so when you get in the water you can lift the Prius higher above sea level because in reality the pontoons are going to float however they're going to flow but with you know some weight upwards and instead of all that weight on the back there might be something to think about is maybe reconstructing the Rams

One of the outboards is most likely counter-rotating. Those lower units are more prone to failure. More importantly, you need a counter-rotating prop.

I own an ox66 250Hp saltwater series injection engine. Pushes the 24' cuddy at 40mph+ on glass. Needs some tuning to ease out of the hole. But holeshot is FUNNNN!

The auto oil injection might lube the crank bearings on that engine. Eliminating the auto oiler means the engine is about to blow.
