The problem of deleting the EGR on a Saab 9-3 2.2TiD. MAP & MAF sensors. Fixing fault code P0400.

In this video the engine gas recirculation valve (EGR) purpose and operation is explained in depth, complemented with a detailed chemical view of the photochemical smog. Finally, fault code P0400 which is related to a EGR flow malfunction is fixed.
In a Saab 93, mechanically deleting the EGR gives trouble because of the MAP and MAF sensors. So, unless you re-configure the ECU, the only way to go is to clean the EGR and leave it as it is :(

Thank you for this succinct but very educational video. I have a Saab 93 2.2 TiD with the same issue. Methinks the valves and sensors definitely need a good clean
