I am an agnostic and I don't think people have a purpose. We get to choose what we want to do with our lives, but I don't think that we have an inherant obligation to do anything. We have free will and are able to make any decisions we want, and I would argue that some decisions are better than others (e.g helping someone is better than not helping someone). However, just because there is a better way to live your life doesn't mean that that way is your purpose.

rx6700xt for my GPU, I got a Ryzen7 3700X for my CPU and 16 gigs of RAM. For my rl video settings I have everything unchecked under the advanced tab with effect intensity at low and all the detail stuff set to high. For render quality I set it to high and turned off Vsync.

Do you want a simple answer? To worship god. That's your purpose. No matter what goal you want to achieve, you'll die and move on to meet your maker. So just worship him so when you meet him, you may succeed. That's our purpose.

That's a simple answer, and one that I do mostly agree with, but God put man on this earth to do more than just worship him. Purpose isn't something that can be so easily defined as one thing or another. Every person has a different purpose that contributes to God's plan in a different way. Job 42:2 "great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve."

@RobotDude375 I think you're mistaking identity with purpose. I understand what you mean, but tell me, whether we became an intelligent civilization or didn't will it stop you from dying? Will it stop you from seeing god? Surah 51:56 of the quran "I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me."

@@adamantheart8275I’m not Muslim. I think our ideas of purpose are fundamental different based on our religions. The Bible says that God created humans for reasons other than to worship him. It’s also very clear that man should work the land(contribute to society), have meaningful relationships with others. As for unbelievers, do they have no purpose? I don't think so. not everyone will go to heaven, but everyone has a part to play in God's plan for the world.

@RobotDude375 That's very true, and that's the whole point. God created you to worship him, if you don't (As in you focus on the worldly gains and getting fame, money, reputation, etc..), you have failed the test. Disbelievers miss the whole point of their existence to have fun in this life, which ends up causing them suffering in the hereafter. You don't have to be a certain religion for you to understand and discuss the ideas that religion gives. Now, Islam also teaches to kill yourself in the pursuit of god, meaning you have to balance the ability to survive with worship. Hence why we don't pray a billion times a day, and instead 50 that was lowered down to 5.

I mean I am Muslim and we believe in the same prophets and we believe that God told us the direct purpose to life in the verse (ayah) وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ ٥٦ I would encourage you to listen to the Arabic with English subtitles (you surely will find hundreds of videos as millions of us Muslims memorise the whole Qur’an!) by searching Surah Adh-Dhariyat. Have a good one bro and keep up the rl grind. 🫡
