Good advice. For people with limited space, they still make a lot of sense, but you set expectations well. For my situation, saving space outweighs a potential for higher service costs, and I personally find the replacement issue of greater concern. Food for thought. The old style one-piece stackables are horrendous, in my experience. 🙂

You miss the whole point, Mr Boulevard Home. Those towers are meant for small-size stacking rooms (apartments, condos, ADU, etc). Let's say you buy 2 separate units (washer and dryer) and you have a narrow laundry compartment, you gotta stack the dryer on the top anyway. You really have no choice. In that scenario, one machine is broken. Let's say after 7 or 10 years, one of those breaks down, high chance you have to let go of the other unbroken unit as well since the model (of the broken unit) is no longer available for you to purchase. You can't replace it with a new model because that is not compatible with the old model dryer when you do the stacking.

Every choice has pros and cons, this highlighted the machines, and the video emphasized they are good machines. If you have to invent drama, perhaps you could examine your own life more closely for what is missing?
