Jefferson is very similar to trap bar deadlift with very similar weight capacity but easier on the spine. Not uncomfortable at all. I've always deadlifted this way. I even lifted like this in competition. I've always been more comfortable doing the Jefferson vs. traditional deadlift.

i think it works it more than squats. just because of the wide stance. you really pulling power from the depth of your butthole.

It also saves your back so you older gentleman arent having to walk around like a scared cat the whole time , and also helps the dad bod syndrome by adding the rotation into the obliques and other parts of the abs , best deadlift form to train heavy+ all body imo

eric bugenhagen has done an 800lbs Jefferson Deadlift and also programmed this lift for the Wisconsin Badgers Wrestling Team, according to him it has immense carry over but you can figure that out yourself

You gain strength in your wrestling and fighters stance. Also hitting your core without lifting on your back has it applications for those with weak cores

I think its the same, id imagine if theres any difference its probably just whether or not youre keeping the bar in the air between reps or not. But thats just me reaching for an answer
