I remember when purge first came out and I went to LA there were people protesting to make the purge a real thing. I thought they were joking till I talked to one of them and they were deadass serious. Thats when i started to get a bit freaked out tbh even thought it d never happen right? I ended up thinking about it a lot and did a deep dive to get more lore and origins. Honestly its interesting just how much you can take from this series. Cant wait for y’all to watch the first purge! That one is probably my personal favorite👌

I remember seeing this one in theaters. The Pequiné Muetré scene will always be my favorite scene. Fun facts: • The people on the posters for this film all die. • Edwin Hodge's character is in all three of the Purge movies. In the first two, he was credited as Bloody Stranger. In this one, his name is revealed to be Dante Bishop. • The senator's house is the same house as Frank Underwood's in House of Cards (2013). • The Purge has expanded its universe more throughout each film. The first film takes place in a house. The second film takes place in the streets. The third film takes place in the government. Also, each film looks at the Purge through different points of view. The first film is told from the rich. The second is told from the poor. the actress who plays the triage nurse, her name is Betty Gabriel. she was in Get Out, she played the "servant".. as for the Walking Dead actress, you're thinking of Sonequa Martin - Green, who played Sasha.. they look pretty similar, especially in these two specific roles.

I think Tara is confusing frank grillo with John bernthal from the walking dead. John Bernthal played Shane in the walking dead and he also has a small role in the movie called baby driver. Frank Grillo plays in captain America the winter soldier and captain America civil war and his character is known as crossbones. Also purge mama played carol in the Tim Allen Santa clause movies and every time I see her in something I always refer to her as mrs clause

Setting it at 10 plus years after 'Anarchy' was one thing. But releasing it right before the real presidential election was bold AF. Even the film's tagline ended up being the slogan for 'you know who' during his 2020 re-election campaign. The motivation for Senator Roan to run is as cathartic as can be. Grillo returning as Leo Barnes and as the senator's guardian was a nice touch. The newer characters were good. From the store owner and his friends to introducing the faces behind The NFFA. I expected nothing more than a roundtable of dictators and rigging the system to see that the senator loses everything literally. The violence, suspense, blood and gore gets more creative this around. Even those on the run trying to survive get some action before it's over. You'd think they could've ended the films right here like everything is gonna be OK. Then you see it's not really over at all............. 2 more to go.

Its actually a low budget fan made spoof short, that was made in 2015 and the IMDB writing credit for James DeMonaco was purely for the fact that he wrote the source material. I would probably say part of the reason the stakes felt lower is there was no every man/woman in this movie. Pretty much everyone in the initial survivors group and people we pick up along the way are competent. Purge Daddy has leveled up since his past excursion on Purge night, the Senator is not helpless, the shop owner and his assistant are former gang members, and the ambulance crew and the underground hospital resistance center is staffed with bad asses. There was zero dead weight to carry as nearly everyone involved had combat training and/or previous experience navigating the Purge.
