THE PUSH - Tales from the Inner City is a short documentary filmed and edited by Jen Lezan following the journey of her older brother Robert aka Tuto. He shares his story about his life in Chicago, life after becoming paralyzed after being gunned down 14 years ago and his experience with gang life in the city. He shares his thoughts and hopes on how the community can build a better future for our youth.
This documentary is part of a series coordinated for our Fall 2017 Dear Chicago issue where we explore the impact of gun violence on our local communities, families and peoples throughout Chicago and beyond. See the others here: • Playlist
