Met Sheikh Isa. Small in stature with an enormous compassion for his people. Isa Town is his legacy. Lovely kindhearted man.

I was a long term resident of Bahrain (1978 - 2011) - Former 3 time National Chess Champion and also Athletic Half Marathon Champion - I had a restaurant opposite the Radio Station in Adliya (now known as CICO's). - I am sure some past residents will remember me wherever they are now! - Your Video brings back the memories!

so what was the story with Cico's? Did you finance it and Cico run it? Incidentally, it has had quite a resurgence over the last few months with the appointment of an Italian chef and his wife. We go there regularly.

@@johnster1964 Myself and Cico arrived in Bahrain together to run 'INFINITY' Nightclub - we eventually both left the nightclub and went our separate ways. - I eventually established a Bar/Restaurant in the building that is now Cico's - After some time I invited Cico to rent the ground floor - (He was struggling at the time, with a young family to take care of) - He tried to make a go of it initially, but had to close for a while, as he was underfunded - I convinced him to consider taking on a financial partner (Mr Zayani) - He then restarted and slowly, with considerable help and management from Mr Zayani, built up the business to what it is today! - I eventually sold my Bar/Restaurant, which allowed Cico to utilise the whole building. - The decor (slanted beams) in the Restaurant, is inspired by my design in my original part of the Building. - I have made a youtube video of my time in Bahrain - It can be viewed on my channel.
