Honey is actually marginally slower to walk across than soul sand if you wanted to make it even slower and it may even work to walk against a honey wall at the same time as walking on soul sand

I think Pigstep might be missing from Cacophony machine. If I recall correctly Ren took the original disc out of the machine, as it was technically his, to put on the item frame in the shop, and during playing the discs in the video the Pigstep jukebox (the closest on the right row) wasn't producing notes to show that it is working.

If you don't want to worry about the daylight sensor getting covered by a hermit, you might want to consider borrowing doc's idea of a hidden villager, a bed, and an observer block as a backup trigger.

​@@eledatowle8767You could set up a redstone clock to count down the minutes til it should be midday. The villager triggers the starter, which sets off the timer, then it goes off once approximately midday is reached

Wasn't there a super slow horse on the server at some point? I remember False had to ride it for a while as part of a dare. That might be helpful to the breeding project if Zed can track it down. Also may I humbly suggest if you're trying to make the slowest horse in Minecraft, why not also try to make the fastest donkey in Minecraft? That would be pretty hilarious to see zipping around.

FYI, on Hermicraft you can customize the range of custom discs, as other hermits have abundantly demonstrate. So your cacophony could reach as far as you want.

Zed, you're going to have trouble breeding a slow horse. They changed breeding recently to always favor increasing stats in the offspring. I think it's still technically possible to get slower horses but it's going to be very difficult!

Yeah, they got rid of the randomly generated 3rd horse the calculations previously used to make a baby that made the stats skew lower

Actually no, the third randomly generated horse causes extremal values to be more difficult to obtain, but this applies to both high and low values
