When I was 17, I wrote in my diary "knowledge is power". Now, after half a century I think this was God's work working in me. Ever since then I have dedicated my life to acquiring knowledge, studies and investigation and research. Thus when I encountered Islam it was most natural that I will embrace it. Qur'an for me became yet another textbook and teacher, this time as the pinnacle of everything I had put in my head and soul until then. For me, in order to embrace anything it must have a didactic value, I must be able to learn something which will elevate me in knowledge. And because Islam is the way of life, Qur'an, with its knowhow, with its instructions and pointers for all walks of life, so logical and rational, has become the most effective life helper. In it I find answers to all my questions.

I really needed this episode!!! I recently increased my Quran reading and subhaanAllah I somehow developed imposter syndrome..feeling like I wasn't deserving or worthy of reading the Quran, of Allahs words. I have identified it was/is most definitely waswas, the Quran is for all of us, on every journey, with whatever past and all our internal struggles. 😢❤ alhamdulilah

MashAllah I loved this episode so much! And I couldn't agree more with sister Aliyah's words. I used to recite and understand the Quran but after I joined Muddakir under Ustadha Huda Ghadban, I fell in love with studying Quran in depth and applying the teachings in my life. The course gave me the relationship with Quran that I never had before. Alhamdulillah.

Asalamu alaikum. If a non-arabic speaker wants to listen to tafsiir I highly recommend listening to sheikh Abu Bakr Zoud, he has a tafsiir on the entire juz amma on youtube. I can not stress how much a person can benefit from his tafsiir, sometimes he takes lke 10 minute explaining only one ayah. His tafsiir are in depth ma'sha'Allah and very beneficial.

SubhanAllah!!💛السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Reading the Quran in arabic is not easy if you're not an Arab and that's not your language, when you teach yourself/children how to read arabic, you must teach them what they're saying in english too. It's a beautiful recitation/language, however you have to know what you're saying or you're gonna be lost. 💚 May الله help us all to get it right by HIS infinite mercy 🤲 اللهم امين

One of the hospitals here in Los Angeles wrote an article about me bc my lab work didn’t match the type of sickle cell I have so they couldn’t understand how I managed to be staying out of the hospitals and no meds for such long periods Subhan’Allah. So a bunch of medical students in the residency program interviewed me and wrote the article. I have to look for it and paste a link here. The Quran is really a miracle and I’m so grateful to Allah for showing me firsthand. Alhamdulilah!
