Two extremely special shoutouts before I disappear again: You may see a lot of our old crew is back and better than ever, additionally my season one co-writer Joseph Johnston has stepped up to join me as a co-creator/co-showrunner. Everyone say "thanks Joseph" for bring our show back to life. Second, Father Mark is played with brilliance by TV legend Don Roy King. Google him and you will understand how truly geeked we were to be in his presence. Everyone say "thanks Don" for taking chance on some scrappy kids.

Most impressive to me was the ability to tell a fantastic story without shying away from the "r word" (religion). The characters had a depth that allowed a faithful representation of both Catholicism and nonbelief without being condescending, a common pitfall in Christian and Hollywood media alike. The notification for this popped up while I was having a depression spiral on the couch, once again spending Christmas alone, away from my overly religious family. I yelped. This seriously made my whole day. The performances, the writing, the damn cinematography. This is 15 minutes of Oscar worthy gold. Thank you and happy holidays, Kyle. Everything about this is so good!!! The writing is amazing and the lack of music in the parts with dialogue really lets you ruminate on the moment and what's being said, the background noises like the ambulance/police (?) siren for a few seconds, the characters' movements and actions… there's so much for people to read between the lines and analyze and I love it, this really impressed me even as someone who was already expecting something really good. I am so happy to see this series back and better than ever!!!
