Rain Song is a thing of beauty. It's its own little Stairway to Heaven in its own way. Slow, the buildup and climax and slow closure. The guitar in this is just beautiful to listen to.

The most beautiful song mankind will ever create ! This song makes the world stop and your walking in the garden of Eden having the highest level of consciousness that can be had.
@Unsolicitedbias9 ай бұрын
Sadly, we are in the Garden now, but we have been told to fix it up, so we built up stuff we didn't really need and made the whole thing a lot more complicated and yet more fragile and even to some hostile. But we can unplug our ambitions to succeed and rewind the tape of civilization to make a cleaner, simpler, and kinder world with Humans being the caretakers in stead of being just the takers.

1973 was the year I graduated in many ways. I graduated from the music of my parents and my sisters and bought Led Zeppelin 2 then Zep One then Led 3. Yes, I was screwed up. We didn't know it but we were living through historical times. And of all these great bands like Zeppelin, Floyd, Stones they had a blues core; something that they could never lose and their passion carried them home. There is no equating those musical times. Sorry, I would bring them back if I could, but I stash them here in my head for good keeping.

Sometimes I think we have conquered our selves, our inner demons and that we have begun a moment of great kindness and serenity. But sadly it is not universally felt in the World. How would I approach the rest of us and find that kind thought or gesture that stills all the fears and rages? I would love to find that gesture and express it.

This is song crafting at it's best. It should be up there with ode to joy. Even the song outro is brilliant and unique. I really like this version with the London Orchestra. It rivals the studio version. We might not see their like for a long time. It's too risky these days to allow any variation in the pornographic dance pop crap that passes for music. Innovative musicians are not allowed a voice.

Is it possible to have a single favorite song or melody? Is that dependent on the time and culture we happen to be experiencing. one of many times and cultures that will come and go with each new life. If you knew how many, you would be less fearful of this one and only time. For it is not. Be kind to one another and your time here and now will continue on into the next. For what does it mean to be alive? Can you tell me in just a few words?
