Something that doesn't cost anything is to check up on the seniors in your neighborhood. If you see weeds in their yard , offer to remove them. Perhaps get your kids involved. Its very rewarding spiritually .

If I have to park at the end of the lot at the grocery store, I have a hard time walking back to my car after putting the cart in the corral so I'll look for one of the attendants and wave him over and ask him if he'll take my cart back and then I tip him. It's not a big deal but I get smiles in return. And when I order water at a music venue or any place I'm going to drink water but not eat, I always tip the waitress. She has to split her tips with the bartender who tapped the water and he put a piece of fruit in it which he had to cut up and he washes the glasses and she had to deliver it. And I tip for each refill. The servers are always surprised.

At 1 hour 25 Marie wants to know how to help her parents. If you can only watch ten minutes of this program today this is it!!! Bravo times a thousand for the advice you gave her. This is a highly dysfunctional situation and those parents own Marie even today. As one who has been there I can say this girl needs serous counseling and her husband needs to step in fast and put up boundaries.

If the caller who is self-employed recently, along with her husband, needs another bathroom I wonder if they could add on to their existing home? He’s in construction and their mortgage payment is ridiculously low so they could cash flow one if they have the room.

If I have a car worth $2,000 in otherwise good working order, that now needs a ($3,500) transmission repair, for example, I'm going to repair the car. I now have a car that has a newly repaired transmission and I'm out a total of ($3,500). If instead I were to sell the car with a bad transmission for $500, and take the ($3,500) and buy a different car that would be just as old (more or less), I'd be out ($3,000) at first. However, the transmission could theoretically go bad at any time. If it went bad the following week, and I incurred the same ($3,500) transmission repair, I'd now be out a total of ($6,500). That's a difference of ($3,000) as compared to just repairing your original vehicle. In this example, I'm not sure risking what would be a total of ($3,000) would be worth trying to save $500.

@notgivingmyemail3381
@notgivingmyemail3381 Жыл бұрын
You can help your parents as much as you want. But the fact they took care of you when you were young should have nothing to do with it. Their choice to have children obligated them to take care of the kids. That choice did not obligate the children to take care of the parents. When you say you should help your parents “as much as you can” I hope you mean AFTER you’ve taken steps to secure your own retirement. If not you’ll never break the cycle and you’ll end up needing financial assistance from your children.

Precious metals have been used for trade and bartering for thousands of years and their value increases due to their limited supply and intrinsic value, unlike paper money that decreases in value daily and has zero intrinsic value. It’s safe to say that gold and silver coins will be in demand in some form or fashion following a monetary collapse. If they’re not used for general commerce, can’t be traded out at gold and silver exchange facilities or for some reason aren’t widely accepted as the medium of exchange for bartering purposes, they would likely be used in underground or black markets. These types of markets tend to develop when there are widespread shortages of essential items. More recently, parallel economies have been developed as individuals attempt to extract themselves from overreaching governments and their monopoly on the issuance of currency. In many parts of the world, it’s a sad state of affairs. Venezuela, which has been experiencing hyperinflation for years, is suffering from supply shortages. In fact, most stores in Venezuela are out of essentials, such as toilet paper. However, we have recently read that gold and silver, including cryptocurrencies, are accepted in underground markets where these items can be acquired.

Regarding the caller in the travel trailer with medical debt. I got a debt collector calling me for a medical bill that is still in dispute. The hospital incorrectly submitted to auto insurance instead of VA. Once I informed them of their error, they submitted to VA but VA denied it because it was not timely. The hospital is still working with VA thru appeals, etc to get it approved. Note, had the hospital submitted it timely, it WOULD have been approved. No, she's not! Her parents decided to have her. It's their responsibility to take care of her when she was young. Their inability or refusal to act like grownups and take care of their stuff is selfish. I am a mother and have never ever contemplated my children taking care of me! It's my job as their mother to raise them to take care of themselves while I put myself in a position to take care of myself for the remainder of my life! I would never dream of burdening them with the result of my poor choices!!
