Another way to save is go with a local ins company. Staay away from Allstate, State Farm, etc (National Ins Comp) Find a smaller company in your state or tri-state company. Then you're not covering the risk across the country & they will have btr coverages for your area & lower rates.

Incompetence and mistakes abound at some large banks. I have changed my address and had nothing happen, stuff still went to the old one. I've had 7-digit transfers duplicate in my favour, you get real (panicked) people on the phone at that point lol

I think they are trained to take the callers' word at face value. They try not to assume beyond the information they have in a 3 minute call. They do the same for male callers.

@@mr_green33 You've drawn a false conclusion by changing the topic of the discussion. Her point was that schools can't do everything - some jobs are up to the parents. She is not talking about whether or not schools need improvement. Quite frankly, a LOT of parents also need improvement in how they are raising their kids. Schools now are places where every parents wants their kids instructed in whatever they think is important. It is highly likely that each high school has some kind of a business or life skills class that students can CHOOSE as an elective to learn about finances and budgeting. If parents want their kids to learn that in school, choose that class. (I am a retired high school teacher and part-time college professor.)

Let's start looking at the root problem behind these increasing "natural" disasters. We're sitting here talking about insurance when we need to talk about switching the energy grid from fossil fuels to clean energy so that the number of fires and hurricanes doesn't keep increasing. Ramsey Solutions would be a great platform to help highlight the way corporate America, specifically the big oil companies, has run disinformation campaigns and used their lobbyists to keep the fossil fuels burning. If we do care about our homes and building wealth, not to mention our families, we'd better get real about the science of what is going on with global warming. Thanks for all the great programming, and I think addressing this issue would be an important way to add to it.
