I met Kris years ago when I was working as a designated defensive marksman for Triple Canopy during OIF. He was absolutely hilarious but also was a wealth of knowledge and he was humble and very friendly to top it all off. To be clear he wasn’t my personal friend but one of our other DDS’s had just finished 12 years in the 75th and they were close friends.

@alexashworth3119 Жыл бұрын
I hate that word. Politics. Political. It can describe almost anything.... I think the enemy wants us to take a back seat in politics and they want us to be quiet. Now days it's pretty risky speaking up but that doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. That's how this country got its freedom and independence. It all started at dinner tables; porches churches and so on. It's important to inform people who have not been Informed. That's more than half the battle right there. Our enemies are pushing the US towards a civil war and an economic crisis. I don't believe it will be successful but it sure looks like they'll come close. If they could they would and if they did then they would finally feel brave enough to fight us. Thankfully they have underestimated us. You can't get folks to forget what freedom is once they've had it. I doubt they'll ever be able to wipe the world's memory clean of what happened here.

I and my wife went to see the movie. I was choked up a little here and there. My wife and I got married 6 months before I retired so she hadn't endured a deployment and didn't understand some of the lingo or tactics that were brought to light via Hollywood. I have a great memory of that movie night with her. I was selected to go through a GRS class only for it to be cut short by my first bout with covid. I'll never get that opportunity back. Tanto was a little of the driving force behind my decision to go that route coupled with guys I'd met downrange many years ago. Awesome awesome guys!

That was as historical of a gun fight and battle as Gettysburg….. the intensity was the same even though it was not the same amount of troops…. And to have anyone survive that is epic… everyone’s strength’s and weaknesses are measured and tested and if the outcome was different , there would be nobody to tell his side of the story as accurate and himself….. true fact

Great interview! I put a comment on an interview with one of the Afghanistan disaster soldier casualty mom's, suggesting she might consider contacting one of you heroes from Benghazi for whatever help to her it may generate. Don't know if she read it and any of those 13 families contacted any of you, so as such a contact may, likewise, be helpful to you heroes as well in some way "with that additional context that showed up later", I am putting in this comment to you among your surviving group in the hopes you see it and consider it. Surely whatever comfort might come from your group those families would be so appreciated by them. Most of that 13 were only in their 20's which pretty much means they hadn't had the experience to build up to at some time confront something like they were thrown into in Afghanistan. I pray that Tanto may see this comment and consider it.
