Thank you. This video was very helpful. I've had ridges in my nails for as long as I can remember. Thyroid issues run in my family. So does poor circulation in extremities. My husband jokes, "Remember all those things we used to do that work? Why did we stop doing those things?" Thank you for the information.

I took Omeprazole for years for GERD and my doctor increased my daily dose from 20mg to 40mg and my anemia got worse. I went to a new doctor after 3+ years feeling anemic to help me figure out what was wrong with me. My new blood test showed my blood had plenty of iron, but I wasn’t absorbing iron. I stop taking Omeprazole and started taking a multivitamin plus iron supplement a couples months ago and I felt much better slowly. I only take an iron supplement every few days now and a multivitamin every day. Omeprazole after long term use can prevent your body’s absorption of iron.

@@IbrahimKhan-w6m4t I went to several doctors including gastroenterologist over several years and had a endoscopy to no avail. Fortunately, my last and only doctor tested for iron blood absorption, not just iron blood levels. The blood levels alway came back normal, but the iron absorption was extremely low, which unfortunately took many doctors and tests to finally figure out the cause of my anemia. Unfortunately, it’s a balancing act between not taking Famotidine and Gaviscon until my acid reflux gets really bad, but it’s better than feeling anemic all the time. Famotidine doesn’t work as well as omeprazole, but my anemia isn’t as bad when I use it. Gaviscon doesn’t work as well as pill antacids, but it’s better than nothing. Plus, I eat a lot of saltines and oyster crackers.

If you are drinking any Diet Sodas that contain Aspartame or Splenda / Sucralose. please stop. Both chemicals attack the entire digestive system and the brain. Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi as well as any food or drink containing Aspartame or Splenda / Sucralose will cause stomach and intestine issues as well as rain issues like depression, anxiety and even later blood clots. It can take two months for the digestive system to repair itself after getting these two chemicals completely out of your system. And they need to be completely gone before healing will begin. Both are that addictive and toxic at the same time.

I have lines on my nails and don't recall if they were ever smooth. The seem to be a permanent signature defect. A nail grows for a really long time during which the amount of minerals and B-vitamins change, but the lines do not. One time I had a prolonged fast and noticed a horizontal bump of my toenail. This is how any varability would register, not as vertical lines.

Oh Ryan!! Ever so thankful for your channel and this particular one. This comment may be long but it's a true testimony of the truth of what you have just spoken!! I'm 57 and my nails have been this way since my mid-twenties. And they were spoon like as well. Having asked many, and I am disabled, so when I say many, I assure you it's many. And I was brushed off , or told it's nothing to worry about. 5 years ago I started getting my nails done because I simply could not stand to look at my nails. After 3 years of that and lack of money I had to stop. Ok let's get to the important stuff. I have suffered with Celiac Disease, fibromyalgia, migraines, and CRPS. Which is a severe nerve, muscle and pain syndrome that was a result from surgeries on my elbows and hands. May I add from 25-about 2 mths.ago extreme STRESS!! Ryan is 100% right about gut health and eating animal products!! After years of severe diarrhea,gas, bloating I went gluten free which helped a great deal but still the pain and gut issues remained. I started eating a carnivore diet for one. Secondly, I just want out and bought B-12 which is sublingual. It dissolves under your tongue. Third, I am adding the apple cider vinegar to my diet. Since going carnivore over 2 months and 3 weeks ( animal products, no sugar, no carbs) would you like to know the results? CD reversed, no diarrhea, bloating, no migraines, the inflammation is reduced and my nails are beginning to change. God gets all the Glory for this!! As far as the Stress in my life.. well that meant that my daughter whom I still love and my 2 granddaughters, the oldest, 7 who spent every weekend with me since she was 3 except for a few here and there and went to church with me. And the little soon to be 3 is joy and sunshine, and there's one on the way.. Had to be removed from my life. Don't feel sad. It was the hand of God. All and I mean all stress has been removed from my life. It has to be no contact. As for you Ryan, your information is so on point and I pray that those listening will " hear" what you say and apply it to their lives. Oh I just had my blood work reviewed yesterday with my Dr. It was all well. And I lost 34 lbs. and I started the carnivore lifestyle ( I don't call it a diet) on Feb.6 right after severe pain after an endoscopy. Sorry for being so long. You can get your health back!! Peace and Blessings!🙏💖

My nails started getting vertical ridges about 2 years ago and because i've got emphysema i thought my lungs were packing in, i got so weak i could only walk a few feet and i'd be out of breath. Luckily, i had a random appointment with a nurse, she took 1 look at me from walking from the waiting room to her office , about 8ft away and i couldn't talk i was that out of breath. My skin was grey, and my ankles started swelling up about a week before, so she got a GP to see me there and then. I was ready to die and wanted it over with, but they wrote a letter for A&E to see me ASAP as my GP said it was most likely anaemia. He was bang on the money, my hemoglobin was the lowest any A&E DR had seen in anyone, it was 31 or 3.1 depending on which scale you use where it should be 170-180 or 17.0-18.0. The DR who saw me said i was lucky to be alive as the swelling of my ankles was down to heart failure. so they rushed me in to resus and asked me if i wanted a mid-line or a pic line, i was scared and panicking as a pic line runs up your arm into the main vein in your chest, and a mid-line is shorter, so i went for that. BIG MISTAKE as a mid-line is very hard to get blood from and used for putting drugs and blood into your body and they needed to take blood every hour or 2. but they managed on a few occasions and when they couldn't they used my artery in my wrist as my veins are very small from blood work i've had in the past which cause them to collapse. Anyway i was in hospital for 7 days had 4 bags of blood and 1 iron infusion. After the first few bags i felt much better and when i left i felt 20 again. If it wasn't for a random appointment, i would be dead. If anyone reading this has those symptoms got to your GP or A&E as it could save your life.

Thank you as I hv learnt so much from this video … a question? Drinking apple cider vinegar BEFORE food? Wont this make my stomach more acidic? Q2 - when best to take digestive enzymes ? Once a daily? Awaiting yr advice. Thank you
@RyanTaylorNaturalRemedies
@RyanTaylorNaturalRemedies Жыл бұрын
Before food is better to help acidify the stomach to help absorb the nutrients. (The stomach acid should naturally be between 1-3pH). I like to take my digestive enzymes in the morning on an empty stomach, and one more with the food.

Nails grow very slowly, so once the underlying issues in the body have been corrected, the nails should begin to grow out more healthily until they are fully grown at 6 months. But some people's grow faster than others.

I have pernicious megaloblastic anaemia and get B12 injections every 8 weeks. I can't absorb supplements at all so the jabs are a lifesaver for me. It's familial on my mother's side. My grandfather used to eat raw calves liver 🤢 before cobalamin injections became available. Not everyone can be helped by nutritional supplements. Pernicious is described as highly injurious and even deadly if left untreated.

Not even a minute into this video and I'm like "well fudge" Ive white spots deep ridges and extremely brittle nails... Then you add all my health problems on top of my nails condition it all makes sense... Guess i need to get over my fear and find a doctor... Last dictor misdiagnosed me with anxiety and told me to get on meds to solve my massive weight loss issue... Turns out i almost had cancer, i had an abundance of cells that could of turned cancerous and nothing the new doctor did got rid of them and it resulted in surgery... But am still having issues just not as bad .. i kept saying and still say that it seems like my body is not absorbing the nitrients it needs... This video seems to confirm that suspicion 😵‍💫

Last year I had deep ridges in my finger nails and I wandered why. Later in the year I developed out of breath by doing small tasks. I eventually couldn’t sleep laying down because I couldn’t breathe. I eventually was restricted to sitting in an upright chair in order to breathe and my relatives said I looked gray. I was bullheaded, but finally went to the ER and found out that my hemoglobin level was down to 6.7 . After finding out that it was caused from loosing all that blood caused from my hemorrhoids. After getting blood transfusions and having hemorrhoid surgery and taking iron pills my hemoglobin level finally came up to 14.9 I felt fine and my fingernails are now back to normal. Your hemoglobin levels are what provides your body with oxygen and of course my iron levels were low. This is a good example of what causes grooves in your fingernails.

I don't think the nerve endings have anything to do with this. Rather it is the capillaries that react to food intake. The nails require continuous flow of moisture for growth. Nail biting is a reaction to the itching of the nails drying out and happens shortly after consuming bad fat. To convince yourself, try a meal with extra butter added to the food. The nails will start to dry out within hours.
@daniep3100
@daniep3100 Жыл бұрын
Butter is bad fat? My mom believed that and ended up with terrible dementia. The nerve fibers are supposed to be covered with a protective layer including saturated fat. The brain uses it too. I eat lots of butter and coconut oil, am in my late 40's, have 'high' cholesterol and just had my arteries checked. They are clear and good cholesterol is high. While there are several factors at play, I am concerned about the teaching to avoid saturated fat. It is an important piece of the puzzle, maybe especially when we are exposed to many nerve destroying chemicals. Recently it is being shared that Vitamin K can balance the bodies' calcium so it does not end up mixing with fats and lining the arteries.
