No one is biologically black or white... Ethnicity is real. Race is a social construct.
@mscurvy
@mscurvy 8 жыл бұрын
Your genetic make up is not a "social construct" it's funny how propaganda confuses people to the point of not accepting reality. It's a difference between nationality and "race", nationality is the area of the world you were born "race" is your genetics.
@AyeshaFaines
@AyeshaFaines 8 жыл бұрын
+mscurvy I said ethnicity, not nationality. Big difference. And black... Is a race is a racial construct created in the 17tg century. Prior to that, people were identified ethnolinguistically. I'm black yet I'm the same complexion as some Indians, Hispanics and Asians. 75 percent of people on the planet are brown... So saying someone is black says nothing aside from the fact that they are Americans of African descent who trace their ancestry to slavery. That's a social marker.
@mscurvy
@mscurvy 8 жыл бұрын
You are aware the definition for ethnicity and nationality are interchangeable with each other?? It's just sharing a culture not a genetic connection do the genes of the African/ Black people vary?? Yes they do but because a caucasoid is born in Africa doesn't make them genetically African but by ethnic/nationality Standards sure they can be called African. If race/genetics are a social construct then how is it only African/Black people are the only ones on the planet that get sickle cell?? It's Black people on ever part of the globe so it's Black people that are every ethnicity/nationality, we were here first so it stands to reason that we are at the core of the cultures. Things have been flipped to make it seem as we were not ie the original Buddhas are Black this is why the ones with hair looks like black peppercorn curls.

I love how they see her saying she’s black when she’s clearly white as being dishonest yet they wouldn’t dare call a man who identifies as a woman someone who’s not being honest.There was once a time transgenders got harassed and bullied because they were different and now everyone’s all for acceptance well if we can accept one type of trans group why can’t we accept people who identify as different skin colors.Does it make sense to me no but neither do transgenders doesn’t mean I’m going to harass them until they admit to being the gender they were assigned at birth.Let people live! This woman has done a lot for the community yet we are so quick to hype up that catch me out side girl and woah Vicky people who are making a mockery of us black folk and displaying the worst type of behavior.But we pay them millions and completely black list this woman?
@sashakimi31
@sashakimi31 6 жыл бұрын
If someone identifies themselves as an ethnicity or include themself in a culture they weren’t born in, people disagree and use the argument of that’s not who you are; then turn around and support people who change who they are anyway. If you are born as one gender but change your appearance or identify as another gender, are you that because that’s what you identify yourself as and thats what you want to be? Both person identifies as what they aren’t but because like to pick and choose they’ll say why one is ok and the other isn’t and become defensive. Society has made it acceptable to identify as what you are not and then be called authentic. Too many people use that word that to describe themself and I’m not sure if everyone who uses that word really lives up to the meaning.

Why is it weird for Rachel to compare herself to Bruce (not calling him Caitlyn, by the way)? They BOTH pretend to be people they were not born as and will never be (race and gender are set very deeply biologically, genetically; it cannot be changed like you change a pair of pants). It is all about PRETENDING and fakery just to satisfy thoughts they did not try to control. Then Rachel was upset that she got more negativity than Bruce did. Bruce got less negativity because there is just more people who are sadly okay with a person pretending to be opposite gender.

The interview these girls did with Rachel was very unprofessional. You can feel the anger they had for her. They treated her as if she killed somebody. If someone wants to be black, why the hell would you care. It's none of your business on what people want to do with her life. Would you prefer for her to be a racist white woman who's proud of being white and dislike black people or someone who loves the black culture and wants to identify with it. Loni and Tamar were the worst interviewer. They wanted to stone the women like she just murdered their father or something.....smh

Why is Rachel dolezal vilified (a women who dedicated her life as social activists)and somone like Bruce Jenner who just prepetuates every cartoonish disgusting stereotype of women ( hyper vanity,materialism , superficiality)(who just hangs out with disgusting rich people that actually like petulant spoiled baby's on tv) is a hero?? Peoples manufactured moral high grounds are based on irrational hypocrisy.why do we champion and celebrate Dragqueen shows but blackface is offensive??what's the real difference other then social acceptance?????

What's so bad about her claiming she's black? She didn't embezzle money, and she did a good job as a professor, so what's the big deal? The crying indian wasn't an Indian, and James Caan and Marlon Brando weren't Italian.

We do not all originate feom Africa. We all originate from the garden of Eden, which the Bible tells us was somewhere in the middle east in the area between the Tigris and the Euphrates and two other rivers the Pishon and Gihon.

Americans are far too hang out in race....we don't have that problem in the UK, I find it pretty pointless to spend so much time determined or not....our race when ultimately we are all " humans".

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how this is any different than being transgender.

Melinda Rose because race really isn't a thing that you can feel. You cab feel a gender and feel more masculine or feminine, but you can't feel a skin color. The only difference is in culture. You can't just claim a culture without living through it and truly understanding it. You can't just adopt a struggle because it's cute. If you change your gender you can still love yourself and how you grew up and your lineage. When you decide you want to be a different race you don't love yourself and how you were born or the history of your family.

This woman is a liar. She claimed to be black for 10 years, yet sued a university for discriminating against her for being white. She sent herself hate mail, and lied to police about hate crimes. There is obviously a difference.

The Kardashian's are just not extreme. Rachel lies, and wanted a Black Man and now get paid big bucks. Terrible.
