Love this video. I just started on the line a couple weeks ago. DTW-based trying to get home to NYC asap (wasn't senior enough for the most recent bid, but maybe next time). Anyway, I'm excited to start playing around with my schedule so that I can optimize mine like you do yours. Haven't picked up a TO trip yet like some of my classmates from training have, but now that I've flown a handful of domestic trips, I'm ready to fly a little farther and explore some "foreign" land. I know the service is more elaborate, but hopefully I get a very welcoming crew who is patient with me as a new FA whenever I pick up my first TO. Thank you for sharing your tips, tricks, and experiences.

Did you have any choice in the base you received? I was wondering because I just applied and I live 20 minutes from Atlanta. What commuting like; Does your air line help with it in any way?
@NicksElixir Жыл бұрын
@@Unidentified863 my class was offered 3 choices. Atlanta was not offered and none of my classmates have been able to transfer quite yet based on their seniority, but maybe soon. The airline does not help you relocate, no. That's something you have to fund on your own. The most they MIGHT do is point you in the direction of affordable hotel and crashpad options.
@NicksElixir Жыл бұрын
@@Unidentified863 commuting for me is an inconvenience because I spend some of my time off traveling to and from base, but I'm 3 months in and all my commutes have been successful because I fly in to work the day before work religiously (I flew in the day of once and I made it to work, but I ended up being awake for nearly 24 hours from the time I got out of bed on the east coast until I finished work on the west coast... and it was terrible!) and I always book the Jumpseat to guarantee I get on the flight.
@Unidentified863 Жыл бұрын
Ohh wow commuting seems expensive then. I thought that maybe the air line helped with a flight back home at least on your days off. Well thank for the information. I subscribed to your channel.

Hi! Great video! With the war going on now do airlines still fly these places? CIf yes, are you able to decline those trips due to safety concerns?

Hi. Skates. Your vlogs are the best!❤ You said the Tel Aviv flight was one of the hardest to do. What makes it hard? Please give tips on how you made it better for you. We really love your content. Can you post twice a week instead of just on Sundays?😅. All the best to you👍🏻🤗
@lbacchus Жыл бұрын
I think the flight is hard because the crew has to be culturally aware of the customers requirements (she talked about how women cannot physically touch men) and with lots of kids on the long flight they will probably have to help out a lot of parents get through the flight.
@NicksElixir Жыл бұрын
probably a lot of special meals/dietary restrictions because of the religion as well, i would think@@lbacchus

Hi , wonderful vlog as usual, and a little question if you dont mind. Do flight attendants normally state how many hours they approximately would like to work? well, I guess they do, because if you had a child (for instance) and wanted to work only part time it would be such a waste of time for everybody involved to be dropping a lot of trips from the schedule. Thanks
@flyingwithskates Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching and supporting me ! With my airline we are scheduled 75-85 hours when you are junior you can ask for days off , 2 day trips , turns or specific 3 days you then have to go in and make your schedule flexible mt swapping with other flight attendants it’s hard work but if you want this job to be d flexible you have to work hard to make sure you have days off by swapping and staying In open time

Skates since you are talking about. Being an Israel, and they pray a lothe. Next time you take a trip there. Can you make reservations? To go where Jesus was at I would love to see that. And you were talking about feeling safe over there. Because they pray a lot. I would love to be in the presence of that, oh my goodness. The Present of the Lord. I would just be crying.
