In Sonic 06, the player is introduced to a man named "Sonic Man" a man who has lived his life as and appears to be making a name for himself as Sonic.
This video takes a look at the real life equivilant, a real person who has lived and made a career out of being a human version of Sonic the Hedgehog, a real life Sonic Man.
And he wrestles.

Here's the thing. Sonic man is actually a reference to pander from bust a groove 2 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3bcn4hprdunlZY - a man in his 30's madly, sexually in love with sonic, and the game ends with him creating humanity and becoming lucifer, in a waaay more interesting game than this one, it even ends with a sad l will never love again style ending like in this game.
