That Om Prakash guy is legit, a friend who studied in IIT, Kanpur confirmed his identity. lol. If you search the staff section on the official IIT Kanpur website, you’ll find him there. Buddy is a senior technical supervisor now lmao. I was also told, that it was highly likely he created the original account, the tone and personalities matched up quite a bit on both Twitter and real life. Nobody thinks sexual assault is funny, they laughed because they thought she was an overdramatic kid who was lying about a famous guy to get attention and didn't take her seriously because of it. A lot of kids lie on the internet for attention, it's not that far fetched. When her dad reacted the way he did on camera, it painted a picture of a typical uneducated, dysfunctional family which at the time made them a low hanging fruit for memes and virality. Anyone who has spent time on the internet knows it's stupid to show weakness or share serious stuff with strangers and unfortunately she had to learn that the hard way.

Basically, he was in college in a photography course and happened upon the photos while learning Photoshop and partaking in those threads on FP. He just happened to share them with the forum and the rest took off without him, he said he only made a few memes himself. Nowadays he's a web dev and watches his parents' cats while they travel. It's honestly hilarious how little it impacted him and he doesn't wear the experience with much pride, as he's very much an introvert and doesn't love attention. Really nice guy, just shy and quiet. This guy reminds me of this chick on FB who made 10 accounts to stalk and harass anyone who had pissed her off. She would harass random children on Facebook and even use people's photos of their children and pretend to be them. She was obsessed with this Japanese game/anime character (who was a high schooler by the way)and would threaten anyone who liked this character because she thought he was her "husband" This woman was around 35 at the time and spent her days and nights arguing with people who were around 12 -15 years old about a fictional vampire. One day she went as far as to tell where her ex-friend had lived in an act of revenge over another game. She wanted her friend to only edit images for her but the person edited for some else anyway. This chick later started harassing anyone who would use edited photos of characters she liked. She was obsessed with vampires and otome games and thought all these characters were her spouses. People like this are clearly deranged.

@Kaspar.C0LD7 ай бұрын
They're not always disturbing, they're even funny half the time. A lot of what people call "trolling" far exceeds that, though. People will call someone who's committing psychological warfare on someone, quite literally expending hundreds of man-hours to destroy that persons life and livelihood, a troll. That ain't a troll. That's Beelzebub. I feel like "troll" has become similar to "bigot" in that it's thrown around haphazardly as a catch-all term. To use a South Park reference (because we're erudite here), it's like calling both Clyde and Cartman "dicks" where Clyde will occasionally say something off-the-wall that's mean but funny about someone -- and Cartman will get someones parents killed, butcher them, cook them, and feed them to their child. Or 60s Joker and Dark Knight Joker; one throws a pie, the other throws a grenade.

NPD doesn't come with too many cases of prolonged obsession I don't think, they have the average person's attention span and would get as bored with this as anyone else. We'll never really know what's going on for sure, but certainly this kind of thing is not engaged with by someone who is healthy. Worst experience I had with a troll was several years ago. He had hacked into my YT account, and made his own with my profile pics and was going around to everyone's channel and leaving obscene messages, claiming to be me. Turned a lot of people against me because they believed him. If I changed my profile pic, it wouldn't be 1 full minute later he would change it to that exact image. He would send me messages like "I'm watching you" and so forth. He made disgusting, incriminating, false claims about me, and did this for about two days until another person hacked into his account and deleted it. This was back when YT had PMs and he told me that the guy was "sick", and I then joined a group that is no longer active today, but they checked in with me to make sure no trolls messed with me again. I also received support from a group of goth chicks that were very protective of me for some reason lol Funniest part of the story was that he was using a picture that he claimed was me, but it was actually a long-deceased man who was a meme in Spain. Most everybody believed him. I had to resort to posting a video of myself, which I didn't feel comfortable doing, in order to prove myself and clear my name with certain people. Then I got locked out of my account a few days later and wasn't able to delete it or the account. Still a regret of mine. I don't know how to get into that account because I don't know what the email was or the password because someone else took care of it for me after the hacking, and I didn't have any email addresses at the time. That person has not been active on KZbin for 10 years and I can't get ahold of them. This was in the Spring/Summer of 2011. If anybody knows how to get rid of those old accounts, please let me know.
