Had a ww kill me at 30hp on taz with her grounded neutral charge attack like wtf dude... and it was on a stage with a huge ceiling

I agree. Not sure the numbers about the combo routes, but yeah notably higher ceilings would be ideal IMO. (Maybe with slightly higher Knockback Growth to compensate so moves don't feel too weak/avoid Melee Marthritis)

I have to agree, all three characters i play (harley, bugs, and iron giant) feel like the almost have to kill of the top, and it makes down air, up air, and up b, into easily their best moves

Fact is the top blast one is so much more accessible than the sides that I think most characters from any platform fighter would use ladder combos

multiversus is literally just spamming your characters strongest move until your opponent is at enough health for a “ladder combo” (it’s not even a combo you just spam IAD up airs and fast falls until your opponent dies)

Also feel like if I ever get killed at low or early percents, it’s always a latter combo. I get I need to get better at reading my opponents but one missed dodge shouldn’t mean I die at 40 or 60

Also, the hitboxes.. Too often i feel like an attacks didnt hit me but it did, or one of my attacks hit where it didnt had to hit. Its ridiculous

For once in my life I was so excited to learn how to do a loop combo. I was actually understanding how to do it, but then they patched it and ruined my progress.

I’m a garnet main and I always played her like a traditional fighter (wait your turn then punish with a combo), to my knowledge she had no loops and I was okay with that. Felt honorable to play her til I mirror matched another Garnet and they showed me her loop. I was so excited cause now I could REALLY punish Bugs Bunny loop spammers with a loop of my own then guess what devs did? Patched it. Smh

Since the upper blast zone is so close, why not reduce vertical knock back across the board?

that will just lead to characters getting juggled as the hitstun wasn't decreased which means you can now drift down towards your opponent similar to rivals of aether juggling. It also would probably just lead to more loops involving up airs

i enjoy killing at lower percentages, most of the time it’s off of reading your opponents dodge and conditioning. but i come from playing smash 64 where 0 to deaths are common

Yeah I’ve been getting into the game and I’ve actually been having a lot of fun but this is something that feels too overpowered, I hardly ever am spiking or killing off the side, 80% of the time I’m killing off the top because it’s just so easy to do with most characters, not sure if it’s intentional or not but I don’t remember it being like this in beta.

Yea i feel this. Its like the core strat is so form of jab , up air , up b of some sorts. I rarely get stray hit ko's. Its mostly ladder kills.

In the beta characters had more information and the perk system was more complicated. For example you could stack horizontal knockback boost if your character was a horizontal character

In beta the main we had harder hitting side moves and we were spiking our ASS off almost everyone had a spike WHICH I LIKED so i think the game is just as "explosive" but they kinda just made most of it vertical which was.. a choice i main harley so im used to killing off the top so it doesnt bother me as much but still dont like spiking with dair being less of an option (still possible tho)

I just very strongly think that they should implement a system that makes Comboing fun and not broken like the loops. I think the loops should still be in the game but have them dodgeable, so if the opponent likes to go ape mode and you catch them you can loop them to 70%

Another big problem with Multiversus is the lack of defensive options all you have is a dodge.(I know tanks have more defensive options but that’s a 1/5 of the roster.) I always get sick of using them in game because it all you can do. I know Brawlhalla also doesn’t have many but it is also faster.

I agree, it's like they realized ladder combos were some of the more exploitable and common ones and Smash Bros, so they put emphasis on those. They've been doing better with recent characters, but a lot of the launch roster definitely had the same feel in terms of how to achieve a knockout, It's still there to this day to an extent. They need to make them harder to pull off, it's making the game difficult for newcomers and way too easy for anyone who even slightly knows what they're doing.

Neither game does, because combos are not usually seen as “possible” in arena fighters not in the same way as traditional fighters

Went back to ultimate after a bit and the problems with multiversus glare real hard. Ultimate still has too much reliance on grab gameplay but even the core of the gameplay still relies on a much more varied approach to victory. Rivals of aether and even nick all stars accomplished the same with a smaller cast. Mv needs to figure out how to nerf ladders effectively it’s like half the cast is ZSS

The real problem with multiversus is the dodge man,sometimes the enemy dont dodge and my atacas dosent even male damage and when i dodge and appears the "dodge" letter with that the atack makes damage and then they combo me ,warner repair your game!

Honestly to me this band feels like it should have an agreesuve neutral core I don’t know something about it makes me want the combos to just be damage racking that doesn’t last long and kills should be well timed predictions and precise percentage combos instead of just loop ti infinity then up air like it was

Does Garnet have a well-designed loop? Side attack, side special, but only the version of that special while her projectile is on cooldown. And I don't know if she has ladders...

The problem with these Smash clones (Multiver, Nick All Star, SlapCity, etc) is they wanna be like Smash so bad yet they lack the deep complex move sets and mechanics that make those games so appealing.

knock back in this game is weird. The physics and momentum is just floaty so when you do get knocked back, you get chased far more than you would in smash. It’s too easy to play off stage and you can stay in the air forever (especially characters like black adam). To me there really is no skill needed to play this game. all it is, is who dodges and ladder combos first and that’s getting severely boring. Every character can literally play the same. Up smash up smash up smash up smash up smash side special up smash up smash

I think the problem with multivurses is that it’s DI is very strict (some what like ssbu) but it’s moves are built for more melee style games

I mean, he is splitting up his most important points into shorts. Either he gets tons of views on his shorts (which will entice new people to watch his original vid) or he gets his standard amounts lol. I see no problem with it atm, but I get the annoyance of subs that have already seen the content being pushed as shorts.

I want to enjoy this game so badly but I see too many problems. From fighting the same characters over and over, hit boxes, super early kill percents, skill gap between characters and connection issues on consoles(I’m on console). All of this really has drives me away from the game. The inconsistency in the game is really sad and I hope the fix things in the future. (They also nerfed Harley and I’m a Harley main😢)

I hate online cuz there's no winning, only luck. I can master any character to a literal science and fight all Rifts on Max diff and beat them with 0 effort but the MOMENT I do any PvP mode, opponents dodge, parry, dodge, parry, dodge, parry, forward string up bash, up bash, T-bag, get all ringouts, Win and leave. Even if you decide to remove everything you just learned and go with No skill characters and copy all the same moves you just lost to... You lose again. Just stick to Rifts.
