Fredbear did the Bite of 83 and I doubt that it was one of the older models from FNaF 2 that was responsible for the Bite of 87 because why would the Toy Animatronics be scrapped? Why were the older models used in 1993 to make the company look better? Also, when we travel back in time in Into the Pit Foxy is still out of order, which takes place before 1987.

They brought back all the withereds for Fnaf 1 because after the failure of the toys Fazbear entertainment was cash strapped and short of assets so they literally had NO choice but to bring back the old characters but redesign their appearances using toy parts. I mean look at Mangle and Fnaf 1 Foxy, same head shape. Fnaf 1 Chica and Toy Chica, again same head shape. Into the pit, though probably NOT a canon game, might also confirm my Foxy PTSD idea because there's a corridor between Foxy's out of order cove and the room where Agony Spring Bonnie shows off the five corpses, this is VERY MUCH like the Foxy Go Go Go! Mini game in Fnaf 2. After all the world in the pit is made from the painful memory of the day the MCI happened in 1985, including a stampede of terrified parents and children fleeing the restaurant because they saw the bodies. IRLIGTU(in real life in the game universe) Foxy would have been spotted bugging out in the corpse room at the end of Foxy Go Go Go! Meaning he'd be Afton's perfect scapegoat in that state. After all in 1987 EVERY animatronic in the restaurant bugged out when someone stole a yellow suit from the backroom.'We had a suit in the back, a yellow one, somebody used it. Now none of them are acting right.' - phone guy, Fnaf 2. Foxy saw something his programming couldn't deal with bugged out and was blamed for it the event happening.

Sorry for the last sentence being a mess.😅 But the basic idea I have hinges on the games universe of Afton and is his routine use of the spring lock suit between 1985 and 1987 in game timeline which is when Foxy Go Go Go! Occurs. Despite being shown as purple guy in that mini game, there's nothing to actually say Afton wasn't wearing the Spring Bonnie suit. He just stands beside pirate's cove specifically and watches the Chaos unfold.

Last self reply from me; I have no argument against Twisted Animatronic's theory I just believe that there's more than one event responsible in a chain. So my event gets him initially parts and serviced, in '85-'87 then Twisted's event happens, leaving Foxy to be considered unfixable and permanently out of order through the '90s and beyond because Foxy's character is scrapped in Security Breach.

6:23 if you didn't already know, in fnaf 2, you can actually use your flashlight to hold any animatronics in place on the cameras they are on, meaning that they are affected by light as well. Balloon Boy is the only character who isn't affected by it, possibly implying that it is only regular animatronics who are affected.

My theory (before watching) is that foxy refuses to preform. This is based off of your previous theory that he is afraid of the flashlight, and so my theory is that he is too scared of the light to preform.

That too but also a fun fact: foxy runs so fast because he saw the children before and after the murder. The first time they were happy and alive. The second time they were dead. so foxy trys his best to avenge them by killing you. You play as William afton. Foxy recognizes your face as the murderer so he runs as fast as he can to your office to try to avenge the poor kids.

Before you mentioned the lights it hit me BECAUSE FUNTIME FOXY IS TRIGGERED BY LIGHTS and i realized it out of nowhere because looking at if fnaf4 nightmare foxy does the reset thing, and in sister location you cant have the lights on or funtime foxy crashes out and kaboom jumpscare, i think what happened was they programmed him to be like the others but there could’ve been a wiring issue, but thats just my thing😭.

I see people in the comments joking about epilepsy, but what if Foxy is twitchy in the lights because the ghost inhabiting him once had the condition? Foxy had to have worked at some point, and every time we play, he's always possessed, right? And every version of the FNAF Animatronics, for one reason or another, has the ghosts of the kids inside them. Fritz could have just never been diagnosed in his lifetime, hence why he was brought to Fredy's, and his having an episode would definitely give Afton an excuse to bring him to the back and kill him. I'm not a theorist, but it would explain why Foxy is different in that aspect than others. He could just also have been made with more sensitive eyes since he's the only animatronic of the older games to be based on a nocturnal predator.

my theory is that mangle caused the bite of 87 and fazbears entertainment was scared of it will happens again so they shoved him into a cove and put him out of order then when the night arrives foxy will randomly reboot and will sometimes get ready to go out to run because he thinks its daytime and the kids want to play tag and he starts running to the office cuz he thought the kids were all in the office thats why his jumpscare is so anti climatic and not scary

I think the reason he's damaged is that the twitching and flailing caused some of the exterior parts to become dented or scratched. But it could also be that the spirit inside is trying to free themself of the body by tearing it off.

I’m going to say my theory and it’s my theory so u might think it’s wrong but “What I think happened is that foxy was originally part off the band but his first time on stage the lights caused him to shut down, so Fazbear Entertainment took him out of the band and made him a side character, they made pirates cove darker so he only twitches when the few lights hit him. However, an employee went up to fox him a bit and foxy bit him causing the bite of 87. They shut down pirates cove to try and fix foxy but found thta as a waist and started to take him apart the reason he has no leg fur and lots of tears. “ But remember that’s just my theory.

We even get dialogue and the second game They tried adding new technology to the old back animatronics meaning there’s a slight chance that foxy could have been able to have memory.
